You've been in Arkfalls that have failed? I've never seen that happen and I spend the vast majority of my time doing PvP and every Arkfall available in between matches.
If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull$hit.
Perhaps you are the person that was yelling at me yesterday for killing the skitterlings. Heh.
I was finishing up my last 100 or so kills for the commando pursuit. (5k AR kills.. yes.. the kills count at an arkfall.)
And even tho the counters are bugged at the moment.. there are pursuits to kill enemies at major arkfalls. People killing skitterlings might be attempting to complete those.
Personally.. maybe not every time.. but i wait until the skitterling bites the crystal before killing it. That said.. if one never bites the crystal there is plenty of time to destroy it and no way is people killing them going to cause the arkfall to fail. And a whole lot of people would have to be killing skitterlings for them to never make a weak area.
Arkfalls bug and fail to spawn the final encounter on occasion. This has nothing to do with people killing skitterlings. I've seen it happen a lot in the last few days. Almost always in Sausalito.. but thats a whole different topic.
And lastly... if you are the 'genius' that yelled at me for killing skitterlings.. You were spamming a grenade launcher at the crystal. Think about it.
You're the same kinda players that throw a crapfit about the group 'sucking' when you don't get the Motherlode or Desuko 5m kill pursuit even if the group managed to kill them in under 4m because the game is borked. Get over yourselves.
How else am I going to level BMGs?

i bet the people in cars / shooting skitters are just looking for an easy way to get those 5000 major arkfall kills or whatever the pursuit is. while i find it mildly annoying, it has never cost me an arkfall do to time.

I know the pursuit kills count at Arkfalls, they also count everywhere else and will easily come in time.
Like the normal pursuit for kills, this one will also come with time, why are people so keen on completing every pursuit right away? There's no trophy for it so it seems like selfishness to me.
Actually it doesn't. It takes 1 moron in a Charger are 2,3 other morons with LMG's/Grenade Launchers to take out enough skitterlings to have an impact.
Yes, I have seen the final encounter where the Hellion or Matriarch don't spawn but that's not what this topic is all about...if morons insist of farming kills at Arkfalls where you have to destroy the crystal BEFORE the final boss fight then I'll never get to progress to the end to see if the boss will spawn or not.
Now I know it wasn't you I was yelling at, I use SMG's for Arkfalls because unlike people like you I am not trying to farm kills at Arkfalls. I'm trying to complete the Arkfall and play to win.
Actually no. I've done both these with my clan mates. Anyone looking to do this in 5 minutes NEEDS GOOD PLAYERS and PLAYERS WITH MICS. Trying to do these alone with a group of random people is moronic.
Fact #1; Maybe I'm part of the Defiance gaming community that doesn't live at home and bought my copy when I got paid from the job I worked. I didn't ask mommy for my allowance and I didn't game share with one of my high school buddies. I specifically bought the Deluxe Edition with aspirations of playing this game for months to come. Considering I'm only one week in and already have 2500 enemy kills I'm pretty sure I won't have to jump in my Charger and farm kills at Arkfalls to get 5000....plus the outfits/EGO points for completing pursuits isn't really worth it to me....I'm happy with my Overcharge and perks I have right now.
Fact #2; Based on initial responses in this thread and in-game I am not the minority here Deezul, I am the majority and blokes like you are the minority. Unfortunately your selfish actions affect the players around you and you don't even seem to care about anyone but yourself.

So if someone wants to shoot skitterlings at Arkfalls for the 5000 kill pursuit they are selfish.
But expecting them to follow your way of playing the game because you want to have more fun.. That's somehow not selfish?
When I see hellbug or scrapper Arkfalls nearby i immediately switch to my double BMG load out and go straight for it because I know I'll be able to farm skitterlings or the scrapper bugs and get some skill ups. I'm not going to stop doing that just because a few people can't handle a few extra seconds.
If a lot of people are killing skitterlings then you need to consider that they may have legitimate reasons to do so, in which case you're probably outnumbered and therefore just being selfish.
