    If you have such limited gaming time due to "work and family" perhaps you should do a lot more research on games before you buy them and not get them as soon as they release, wait a week or two and read up some reviews and watch gameplay footage.

    I think you will find most people on this forum work at the very least, and to try to say anyone who is enjoying the game is a benefit scrounger is just idiotic.

    This is an MMO, and a new release one at that, expect unexpected downtime, its part of the process, a couple of times I have tried to login and the server has been down but the forums are always updated explaining why they are down, a lot of new MMO's I have been in for the first few months have downtime and don't even post with why and an ETA.

    The other cool thing I am able to do is when the game is down during time I spend playing video games, I simply play another video game, its quite simple.

    With patches and time this game will improve, and since you have such limited game playing time it should not be a huge deal for you to simply put it on the back burner for two weeks and play something else and then come back to it when things are running more smoothly.

    That is all I can be bothered to say really, I hope you don't get a refund.

    Its not free to play. $60 for the game. $40 for a season pass? Pretty much have to buy boosts to get loots, good rep or anything else's.

    that had better not be true, if it is then it might as well have been ftp. especially since my favorite weapon got mutated into a useless piece of ****e when I logged in sunday after the big meltdown. that would make it pointless to play without throwing in enough money to buy 4 or 5 other games at the least, and I would definitely spread the word around about that. I knew I got lucky with that weapon, but I didn't think I was THAT lucky... if i was to know I'd never one that good again without rollin out lots more dough I'm gonna be pretty pissed. You need proof of that to convince me, but I honestly don't know if I want to see it.

    Thats nonsense i know a lot of people who have bought boxes and been unlucky with them. I've had a few purples and blues without spending a dime.

    As for me the game has been smooth sailing pretty much, though the EU server was unaffected by the incident that affected the NA one, so i am sympathetic to people who got progress screwed there.

    This is a false statement, and I challenge you to PROVE me wrong on that. You don't even need to buy the season pass (which doesn't give you anything competitive at all). You don't have to buy bits to get lockboxes.. so that's false.

    so.. find some PROOF that your claim is correct, otherwise, you have just been slapped with a big green.. EPIC TROLL FAIL!

    This model is more commonly referred to as 'Buy To Play' - that is, you buy the physical game, and from there it is free to play. Other games following this model include Guild Wars 1/2.

    That is a very technical arguement, however.

    Onto the greater subject - I think that TRION doesn't need to offer refunds. I don't feel they've delivered below expectations. Yes, there are bugs - and hell, I hate seeing my Marin incomplete because I have yet to see Dam Defense appear. But even still, minor bugs like this are not game breaking.

    I am sure one of the first counters to this will be 'Well they had a rollback!' and I will say this - the alternative was to leave things as they were, which would have upset an equal number of people. Rollbacks happen in games this massive. Hell, I wish they'd rollback and fix the Scoreboards so people aren't so Disheartened by glitchers taking advantage of the High Score.

    But I don't feel the glitches have made this a broken product. I still have fun running instances. I still have fun doing competative PVP. I still have fun completing the Persuits I can complete, and have plenty ahead of me. I am honestly baffled at those who are so upset by the glitches - many of which are minor, though some of which are major. But so far, we have seen TRION step up and solve the major glitches (Jumping EGO being their first big test) and I think they've earned a lot of respect in my book.

    TL;DR: I don't think they need to offer refunds. I think they have a great product and delivered what they promised, and I'm enjoying myself every step of the way.
