Kind of makes me wish it went xbox and pc only, as most of my console oriented friends have both anyway. It would really help to bridge that hateful gap between console and pc gaming lol.

if you see it on steam, and not anywhere else. then yes.

while what you say is true it is because of M$ that this won't happen. there have been xplatforms between pc and ps3 with steam (portal 2) and it is entirely possible to xplatform between ps3 and x360

yes there have been console to pc based xplatform.

the problem and most likley reason ms/sony wont allow xplatform. is profit. they know that right now alot of people tend to buy both xbox and ps3 to play with friends on each.

if crossplatform was allowed (allowed for one, then they would be more forced to do it for others), people would only need to buy 1 or the other. no matter which way they slice it both sony and microsoft loose out.

possible and probable are two completely different concepts. I dont see them merging for any game other than something blockbuster like CoD. Activision tell them they want cross platform or they leave, and I promise they will work out some details.

i think games have threatend it in the past. (cant think of any right now). but the loss of a game, will not amount the loss of console sales.

If activision is serious, and tells microsoft and sony to get their act straight and link the games for cross platform play, they will do it, no if ands or buts about it. CoD is a HUGE franchise to lose, and no one wants that, on the business end at least. I hope cod dies and burns in hell for all eternity.
