Also, they keep plenty of negative threads up, in fact I would say they keep up every constructive negative thread up, and then close down or merge any duplicate threads, or delete/close any threads that are not constructive at all.
Never said it failed. I just called it unremarkable :P

    Yay internets.

Newbie posting here! Thought I would add my 1 cent...

I have been playing way over 25 hours and have not even gotten to San Fran... probably because I get sidetracked doing arkfalls, side missions, races, hotshots, rampages, and those stupid 99ers always hurting civvies...

But then again, I am not good and play like shtako...

I just play too fast. I occasionally catch **** from friends for being overly efficient in games.

    I'm glad you're enjoying yourself.

Courage is not the absence of fear; instead, it is the realization that there are things that are more important.

The game isn't dead yet, but it is most assuredly dying. The question wasn't whether the game was worth buying in the first place, but whether it will have any longevity. Personally I feel the answer to the first question would be yes. The game didn't need to have any greater longevity to be worth the price. It could be played as a single player game, and as such it was a single player game that while it may not have been heavy on quality at least offered up quantity, and some limited online interactivity. In other words I have played worse, but I have also played a lot that were much better in almost all regards.

As for the second question I am having a terribly hard time seeing how anyone can think this game will actually be worth playing half a year from now let alone a month. This game has no real substance, merit, or any real originality behind it. It isn't a issue to do with bugs, or half finished systems. The vision is fundamentally obsolete. This game is a veritable throwback to games from the mid to late nineties. This is a old school strafe shooter. The reason they don't make too many of those anymore is, because people have so much higher standards these days. Worse yet this game comes with auto aim assists.

The bottom line is this game doesn't have the depth, complexity, and freedom necessary to create a vibrant online community. It is kind of sad that so many are willfully blinding themselves. Wanting this to be a great game for its genre, but it isn't going to be anything like that ever. This game would require a radical redesign to have any hope of reaching such a potential. The games core mechanics would need a major reworking. In a world filled with technically brilliant shooters this game doesn't deserve even a honorable mention. The same holds true for the role playing. The system isn't bland it is tasteless. This game is just a terribly simple action game when you get down to it.

It is dying, because it should be dying.

    Fun fact:

Some people that play MMOs don't even know that the game they're playing even has a forum, much less how to use them.
