What i l like about this game is that you don't have to rely on how powerfull your weapon is but how they act, IE remotely detonating ammunition from grenade launchers. Infectors, GMT's, even pistols that can knock off your targets to the ground. The beauty in which i see is that you can use these and apply them to your gamestyle, which is again not necessarily so restricted on the power of the gun you are using. It's not all about the damage.

Anyway not to get too offtopic with this, i think the endgame for now are the arkfalls and PVP as far as we know, i repeat FOR NOW. There are five DLC's coming and a lot of bugs to be fixed before that. However this is only an observation after a few beers from my part. Also fingers crossed the game will be getting a lot more interesting content the best "endgame" that i would do if i was bored is to get to know people, join a clan if you haven't make some buddies.
Don't talk to me unless you want to talk to me.

Ive come back to console from a 5yrs hiatus, its amazing how many console players have no idea what endgame content is!

Yea the only difference with that is, in other mmo's you get stronger as you level. You don't in this, that's what is putting me off so far. I was expecting something to work towards, eg better loot. Obviously i was wrong about what type of game this was. Pity too because im enjoying it for what it is but for the long term without anything to work towards i can see a lot of people leaving.

Yeah, I wish I could give a really wise answer - but I can't. Only EGO 750 and some change. I think I've played around 40 hours or so at this point. Apparently I'm not pursuit-hunting enough or as much or something.

I can say that my character has evolved and that I certainly do feel improved from when I first started. I can't tell you how much that would continue into the 1000/2000/3000 EGO levels though.

Honestly, I'm not in an any real hurry to find out though. I don't think being a higher EGO level will change my "end game". I assume at some point we will get some more story missions - but playing this game continually for me is really more about how long until the same old coop maps get boring, or the combination of Shadow Wars and Arkfalls for driving around. I'm still tinkering around with new builds and when I get bored with one thing - I just move on to something else.

With the tie-in to the show, I don't expect some big raid boss endgame like Dark Falz or anything - but whether the current grind of coop maps and arkfall with the occasionally Shadow Wars will keep me occupied for a few more weeks or months, can't really say. I do expect the occasional content drops which will keep the game and show at least aware of each other - but probably nothing too deep until the DLC comes out.

For now, I just want them to fix the bugs.

Higher EGO means more perk slots which makes you stronger. I like the way it is right now a noob with skill can start up and beat a vet with 4000 EGO. I dont know why people dont have the urge to go for max perk slots I cant wait to make builds that utilize all slots.

Higher ego also unlocks weapon bonuses.

Also I feel what's very important is increasing weapon skill. Every time you go up a level something increases like reload speed or crit% I'm at 515 I think and I'm using weapons from the 100s and 200s. But once they max out, your weapon skill doesn't increase anymore. So I'll switch to another weapon to keep increasing it. But I keep some of them cause they're still stronger than anything new I find. So I can go back and use them for arkfalls or when I need that little bit extra firepower. I'm pretty high in assault rifle, pistol, semi-auto sniper rifle, and pump shotgun.

Which are rubbish from what i have seen so far. Melee bonuses on an assault rifle. Yeah because that's practical. That might be decent on a shotgun because you'll be in melee range.

I might be in the minority here, but I actually feel that my character has progressed a significant amount at EGO 14xx compared to the earlier EGO levels. I'm able to stay in Overcharge pretty much as long as I want which I couldn't really do in the beginning. But as for endgame content, there is none unless you want to count PvP or Arkfalls.

I'm sure End-game content will come. One thing that would help the feeling of progression would be if the guns, shields and grenades had more of a variety like in Borderlands 2. Almost every gun, shield and grenade mod felt slightly unique. I'd be fine with the EGO and perks if the guns ect felt more varied.

Edit: I was just watching episode 1 again and I would love one of those Volge cold fire guns. They are badass.
