What is Falloff Damage?

with some weapons like snipers the farther away you are the less damage you do, some weapons have optimal range like that, so this stat makes the damage reduction less.

Not at all... Think of shotguns. A powerful shotgun with an increased range is great.

For reals though, I wish there were more stats listed in the stat menu. It's kind of hard to optimize loot when you can't see the stats for some of the stuff the mods add.

Indeed, if "I" have trouble finding something in a menu in a video game, then there's something wrong with it. Mr 100% perception test over here, can find even the most obscure items in games within seconds, yet Defiance had me Googling a few things...
