    High cost of dying..?

After watching the Gamespot livefeed gameplay ( which featured Trions Bill Trost showing off the game)..i noticed that poor old Bill tended to die quite a bit..
This allowed him to first show off the self revive game mechanic, and then more importantly, the 'Extract' option for when you havent recharged your self revive timer yet.

I noted down the amounts of scrip it cost him for three of the times he was taken down..
    5082 scrip
    4025
    4587
First i noted how odd it was that the amounts varied..any reason for that?
Secondly, though it appeared to my mind to be pretty expensive..but IS it?

I dont really have a set of comparison prices for items etc or noted down mission scrip rewards, so i dont know if the price of getting taken down and being ressurected IS actually pretty steep, or is it not so bad when viewed against other costs in the game.

    Thoughts?

prolly hard to discuss this now with NDA still up, but am guessing death penalty should be not too heavy as to make ppl frustrated, but not too light as to make ppl not care for dying

Having not played the game at all this is simply an educated guess. I would imagine that the reason it is high and the reason it changes go hand in hand, i would have thought that he was loosing a percentage of his scrip each time. So if you have loads you lose more and since he died and lost some, the amount he lost the next time would decrease. Similar to how it worked in Borderlands.

My assumption, think of it as Borderlands/Borderlands 2, The more money (Script) you have, the most it costs to revive.

Hopefully saying this dosent breach NDA but

I dont think its high it a basic percentage of the total you are carrying, there for carry less.

Precisely why I mentioned Borderlands. If you have $3000, you die and pay about 450-500. But you have 999,999, you pay 20,000-50,000 and so forth.

So yes I agree its a percentage of what you have.
