What would you suggest done to Cloak?

Also I agree with slay on this comment... Tek Hound's little speech here is a load of BS i see so many people getting blind sided by cloak... Tek you probably are cloak which is why you don't want it nerfed...

I try not to assume ever when people make their arguments, in my head I obviously would say it's true he probably uses it. I do too but I still want it nerfed so the fact of that doesn't bother me, I have a bigger problem with the cloak and shotguns themselves. Thanks though.

Simply disagree, and you took the word game breaking wrong, he meant overpowered. Until you can back up the claim there is stronger combinations then cloak+shotty I will disagree, i've never seen anyone else in the PvP section be so mad at anything so far more than cloak+shotty, I'd say 50% of the threads in PvP have to do with some balance of cloak, shotgunos, perks that help cloakers, cloak being OP, or some mix. If there was anything more overpowered than cloak+shotty then I believe it would have been addressed by now, or so few people know of a new combination it gets no attention. I'm really sick of people saying they like cloak and shotty because there are stronger combinations, for one that makes absolutely no sense. If there were stronger combinations they'd be getting addressed, and you never gave an example of anything stronger. You say that this would lead to more QQ and nerf threads, tell me why that would happen, what evidence do you have that everyone would cry about this? Has anyone thought of any legitimate reason this shouldn't be balanced? Isn't PvP suppose to be fair or atleast as close to fair as possible and be more concentrated on skill? When did this ever change? Why would people cry about balance, it seems the only person crying would be you and some others that might agree with you, though probably not for your reasoning because it had no proof, bs claims, what if statements, etc.

Ok it's pretty obvious not many like cloak currently.
This thread isn't for trolling, it's for community discussion.

So, I ask what would you do to balance it for the better?

if they change anything they should make four ego loadouts for pvp and nerf, balance, or mess those pvp loadouts up anyway you wish. It is bad enough we cant pvp with our regular character but now all we here from everyone on every game is nerf this nerf that. make it your personal goal to learn how to beat the cloak+shotgun players. challenge yourself for god's sake. was last boss too much for you or did you figure out a way to beat him?

Just copy cloak from Planetside 2 sniper class. The cloak should have energy, running down when turned on but you can stealth/unstealth anytime you want. And you cannot shoot when cloak is on, you have to turn off manually, maybe good idea is also some time between going back to stealth, like 5 secs? Also contours of character should be visible while movement, not only for a moment when you turn skill on. I think cloak is supposed to work with long range weapons, but for now it is only get behind someone and shoot him in back lol, I really don't see any fun in this...

You're right. Cloak and shotties are vital to gameplay and are not overpowered! I don't understand how I didn't realise it sooner!

me and a friend both ran a decoy build. We used ARs with Sticky's. Sometimes switching to a gnadelauncher. We held down tight hot spot areas with few entrances. Decoy breaks their cloak, sticky first. Take them down with a precise AR fast. If that's not your cup of tea you can also shoot explosives at them. Even out in the open it went well.
