Wolfhounds seem unbelievably good.

I've started using the wolfhound in hellbug arkfalls.
The crit is just amazing!

Not my TACC rifle, no. It has no falloff. Try it out. The problem with shooting at range with it is that it has bloom and it always shoots a 3 shot burst suffering bloom in the second and third rounds in each burst.

You are right, tested it out now. Weird though, Im pretty sure it used to have falloff. I would think that it's actually some sort of bug. Seems a bit strange that all other ARs have several stages of falloff due to range, but only that 1 has no falloff whatsoever. If anything you would kind of think the heavy assault carbine, being single shot, would have no fall off rather than a burst AR.

Indeed. I used my TACC rifle almost exclusively from EGO 200 to about EGO 900, so I actually was startled when I noticed other rifles, notably the heavy assault carbine, had fallout. Right now I'm sitting on a heavy assault carbine with all my fancy mods in it that I never use because I'm not a big fan of suffering from damage falloff. Personally, I think the mechanic sucks. Bloom, recoil, innate inaccuracy, and limited lock-on ranges do the job for pretty much every other gun.

(For PvE) This gun seems like it outclasses every other pistol and honestly seems like one of the greatest guns out there. It only takes a couple shots, without mods or stat rolls, to take out most of a Forges or Monarchs health if you're hitting a weakspot . Granted, when not shooting weakspots it seems pretty sub-par compared to rifles, but as an alternate it seems incredibly amazing.

Anyone else agree with me? I just discovered this today and I'm surprised no one has said anything, all I hear about is SAW this, SAW that.

On another note, I'm glad I've been trying to max out all the weapon skills. It exposes you to a lot of weapons that you'd pass on, as anything you come by is generally worth trying out to see if it is a fast way to level.

I love wolfhounds. I got a beautiful purple wolfhound that I maxed out which I'm saving till I max out my pistol level. So for now, I just use it in PvP sometimes.

ohhhhhh.. is that why the TACC rifle does so much dmg? No falloff? I always thought it had something to do with because it was a 3 round burst gun..

Wolfhound has the highest crit multiplier 4.0 which is insanely high compared to everything else at arround 1.5x-2.0.
AR216 Gladiator is the best burst rifle because it has 1.7x crit multi to the vbi tacc 1.5x also vbi tac has elemental on it, except you attach an elemental mod on the gladiator.
