So bunny hoping is supposed to make you move faster but in this game is doesn't therefore its not an exploit.

I was playing a pvp match the other day, and there was a bunny hopper dodging around the map. So, I just zeroed in on him with my BMG lasso of truth and laughed as he began to try to pull of sick hops to avoid the damage.

People complain about bunny hopping so much on these forums.

Seriously, it's not that hard to counter.

Imo, it just makes them an easier target seeing as how it's fairly easy to predict their path.

And jumping has it's benefits as well! It's a tactical maneuver to avoid taking massive damage when reloading or just trying to get to higher ground.

The only time bunny hopping is ever annoying is when kids literally just mash the jump button the entire time.
They're still easy to kill.. But it's just really annoying to see them acting MLG when they're rocking a 0.65 K/D.

Regardless, practice + experience = battlefield domination.
No amount of bunny hopping and rolling can save you from an experienced veteran.

Bunny hopping is pathetic nonetheless, we never see Soldiers in real life jumping up and down in a fire fight. To be fair it only really became a problem thanks to Halo and its spiralled out of control since then. Yes its easy to counter a bunny hopper but its still quite sad to see people doing it.

Rolling is an evasive action you can execute with one button press.

Jumping is also an evasive action you can execute with one button press.

Why hate on jumping but not rolling?

To date I have not actually seen anyone provide a solid augment to back their hate on jumping. Their "argument" usually boils down to "I hate looking at people jump as it is unrealistic".

Firstly, this game isn't an war simulator. I can't give one fiddle about your sense of realism and how much people jumping takes away from your "immersion".

Secondly, "nerfing" or removing jumps in any form is a straight up technical restriction on my enjoyment of a feature, which should be placed in higher concern than offending your aesthetics sensibilities.

Thirdly, the game is build with the existing jump height in consideration. The developers can take the time to adjust everything in the game to suit you, or they can spent precisely zero seconds to make zero changes to suit me. Unless you can prove an overwhelming majority supports the "nerfing", the ROI for making the change does not compute.

Because you can't shoot while rolling.

But.. The thing is.. It isn't real life.. It's a game..
So players will naturally take advantage of what works in a game to help them survive and in turn get kills whatever means necessary.
If you wanted a realistic game, go play battlefield 3 or a simulator.

Don't get me wrong, I think doing nothing but bunny hopping across the map is pathetic..
BUT.. Hopping does have it's place same as rolling.

Only old gamers know what bunny hopping is. It's the stamina bar which is for the little boys who weren't around to play Quake!
