what Quake !!! you mean UnReal .... after all Quake was just good for Rockets and Unreal put FpS on the map :P

Now with that said a Stamina Bar .... players must be out there mind with a stamina bar ... but I would not mind some fall damage
( note : Quake nor UrT did not have fall damage ). as far as the rest of the QQs I would say to get your clan together and go own.

Sinister Swarm does not have a Guild in game yet....Not 100% sure If we will have it... the time its going to take to train the young people to bunny hop + roll + circle with shotgun or roll as a team of 3 to 5 may be to much work for me atm

But rolling is more defensive as you are a smaller target and you travel faster.

You have options from most defensive to least:

    1. Roll. Pros, highest defensive move. Cons, cannot reload or shoot.
    2. Jumping strafe. Pros, second highest defensive move. Cons, lowered accuracy which can be off-set by good aiming.
    3. Running strafe. (Default mode)
    4. Squat. Pros, strongest and most accurate offense mode. Cons, low defense.
    5. Stand. (Idiot mode)

Each has a time and place where they are most useful. Jump is just one of the options and it does not come without a cost, namely reduced accuracy, requiring the greatest user concentration, and increased player fatigue. There is a reason players don't "bunny hop" in PVE, even if they are die hard PVP hoppers.

In any case, there is a perk which specifically counters jumpers. Use it. Seriously just use it. If everyone uses it there will be no benefit in jumping and you will see jumpers decrease. That is call meta-gaming. A far more elegant solution than the "QQ to mama to change something I don't like because I'm too lazy to learn how to counter it" method that many people here seems to only know.

    The Turtle wins.

    Turtle > Rabbit.

Bunny hopping= Technique for MLG PRO wannabes to avoid being hit and affect their precious K/D ratio. Nothing more, nothing less.
Agreed. Only wannabe MLG's need to bunny hop to kill things. Real men do it while still on the ground facing the enemy straight on.

    1. How do real MLG's do it then?

    2. Real men pounce at their prey like a tiger. Are you sure you are not imitating a training dummy/strawman?

You can't shoot while rolling but it is a evasive move.
People only jump when using a infector or a shotgun. The infector is auto lock and the shotgun can be fired from the hip with no accuracy loss. Jumping with any other gun besides maybe a rocket launcher or a grenade launcher would be pointless. The bloom would go haywire and you would miss almost all of your shots.

Yes, the detonators, rocket launchers, shotguns, and infectors all suffer from that accuracy penalty. -_- User concentration my ***. The reason people dont jump in PvE is because it is stupid and will get you killed more than it will save you, the enemy is to accurate and exposing yourself so everyone can hit you at once, even for a moment, is begging to be killed.

Real man jump. It trains their legs and hips so they can go all night plowing the ladies.

    Fact: Bunny > Turtle.

The only good turtles are the TMNT and the only reason people even watch their shows is because they are also ninjas who can jump.
You forgot the HALO generation people ninja walks, before the COD generation ., but i was the real bunny hopper generation the kung fu game on the NES or excitbike. Not sure pitfall on the atari would count to many alligators.

There just needs to be a stamina bar in PvP so people don't just bunny hop shooting their shotty or SMG down at people the entire time. To me endless bunny hopping is a horrible tactic to rely on.
