    In-Combat Loadout swap?

This might not be something that is not possible, but I think it would be awesome if, while in combat, you could hold the weapon swap button, and switch from a primary, to secondary loadout. It would especially come in handy during boss fights and arkfalls, and it would eliminate the need to fumble around in the character menu while you are getting pummeled by enemies in a defenseless state.

Say someone who is a grenader (just as an example) needs to become a support healer on the fly.

Well there are already loadouts, and all you have to do is press the menu button then press (Y on Xbox) to switch to the next loadout.

I dont see much of a difference between the two.

Well the reason I'm suggesting it is because I've always had quite a bit of delay when opening the character menu, to the point where it takes about 2 seconds to open the menu, then it takes a few more to select the loadout by hitting Y a few times, and about another 2 seconds to close the menu and get back into the action. By that time, your shields are down and you're half dead.

It isn't a deal breaker, I just thought it would be a nice idea.

Well, the suggestion was generally related to arkfalls, where there is little to no cover at all. But I guess you're right, it makes very little sense. It just adds to the challenge of the game, so I guess a bit of lag is a good thing xD

I usually stick to one loadout. IMO You should prepared before the battle. Know what your going to need and have it ready.

It should be mappable to the D-pad for those that have not played the missions/game over and over to memorize everything.

I think its lame that you CAN switch load outs during combat...

it would be even more silly to be able to do it instantly

See, I carry an AR and a Pistol...I don't need a medic gun, a grenade launcher or a rocket launcher. If the mutants pulled up in a tank and said surprise...I'd reconsider my loadout after I jumped on top of the tank throwing a grenade into the hatch. Basically, what I am saying is that I don't find most weapons to be practical for the game. Like Grenade Launchers and Rocket Launchers, I do not see any light skinned vehicles around...I see no MBTs or IFVs...If there were I would have that VBI Guided Launcher on my back nicknamed "Javelin". Grenade Launchers are only effective against clustered up practically hugging enemies, which I can just throw my hand thrown grenade at. Bolt Action Sniper Rifles are IMO kinda useless, but Semi-Auto Rifles have a much higher effectiveness for engaging the amount of enemies you face in the game. a Bolt action is good for long range single target take downs, 1 shot 1 kill and get out...but there is never just 1 target. Shotguns make for awesome secondary weapons, especially the FRC Auto-Scattergun which fires Slugs rather then buck/flechette, giving it the best damage at medium range then any other shotgun. Pistols are effective in the right hands, the Wolfhound is probably the BEST one. I myself carry one at all times it makes for a rediclously effective back up. Once my gun rounds out or god forbid, it jams I know i can rely on my HP-6 to finish the job.

    Conclusion...

ARs, LMGs, Semi SGs/Pump Action SGs, Semi Snipers, and Pistols are good
Detonators, Rocket Launchers, Sawed Off SGs, and Sniper Rifles not so good...

BMGs and Infectors are still being studied by myself to see if they hold a place on the battlefield.

I happen to think that it SHOULD be easier to switch loadouts, WITHOUT having to even go to the menu. You guys using a controller, or playing on a console may actually have the mouse and keyboard users beat on quick switching of loadouts.

Currently I find the number keys to not really be used efficiently. As it is, you can use the mouse wheel, or your weapon swap key to switch between your two weapons(mine is Q)

Why not have the number keys set to switch between loadouts on the fly? It would make sense, and would take advantage of the PC a lot better. As it is, the menus and UI is really clunky. This would be one more step towards making it more streamlined, and accessible.
