A question, based on where I'm at in the story *possible spoilers*

So I've rescued Von Bach and met with the white haired woman and did the first quest from the man who has info on the ark-matrix. [I don't remember the quest name... ]

My EGO RATING: 263 [pasted from player hub.] Am I rushing the story at all? The raiders seem to take a bit longer now to kill (noticeably-- but not complaining in the least.)

Any have any views on this? I really enjoy this game and I don't want to be a content locust LOL.

I would say just go at your own comfortable pace and don't worry about rushing through.

If you ask if you're rushing, you're about 1/3 through the game 3 weeks after release.

So no, you're not rushing. lol

Theres really no such thing as "rushing" in this game. EGO rating is a highly variable thing BTW, it changes due to so many different things its hard to use it as an accurate gauge of "level."

The trick would be keeping your weapons up with what your fighting, but that happens naturally anyway.

Sounds like you're fine though, I remember it feeling like that as well.

Also, if I recall, enemy difficulty scales by the presence of more PCs.

My EGO lvl was 311 when I finished the main storyline, I'm 1200ish now and I'm still enjoying the game.

Unless, you are a completionist like myself. After losing the Episode 1 missions from last week, I felt I had to change my playstyle of doing the mian mission, side mission, pursuits, mini-games and ramp up my effort to unlock san fran so I could complete some of episode 2 in case they removed it from the game before I even got to san fran. Its all good though, san fran is now unlocked and I can relax a bit and go back to complete the side missions, mini-games, etc. But if they do remove episode 2 pursuits, some of which require you to go to san fran, then you may want to just focus on main story til you unlock san fran like I did. /shrug

Don't worry about it, after you finish the main storyline you'll still find plenty of content to play. Whether you'll enjoy it or not depends on what you define as engaging game content, though.

Got to 400 EGO not too long ago, still haven't finished the lawkeeper mission ( main mission 3?). I don' think there's a 'slow' or 'fast' to this game. It's whatever pace you enjoy. You can also redo the main story so even if you rush it you can do it again at a slower pace.
