Cannot add mods to weapons

i have a few mods for snipers but it will not let me add any, when i get to the matrix screen all that i can do is pick select weapon all the other options are grey and cannot scroll to them.

You have to first select the weapon, and the weapon that you want to modify can't be equipped in any of your loadouts. If you have already hit both of those, then I apologize for not being able to help.

thanks but i tried that, the screen is greyed out when in there, i select a weapon but it just puts me back on the past screen, i have like 4 sniper mods i want to put to the deadbolt but it just wont work, is there weapons that you just cant put mods on?

Is that weapon showing Mod slots? Can you share a few screenshots?

you checked ALL of your loadouts? That was the problem i was having originally.

i only just unlocked the second loadout so yea i checked that after i read that front page post, im on 360 so i dont have a screenshot for you, could you show me what i should be looking for and i can see if i have it or not.

I am on ps3, so it's triangle to switch loadouts. I dont have a 360, but think for you it's the "Y" button to swap loadouts. just check your second loadout, and if the gun is equipped, just unequip it

yea i tried that aswell, it would not let me do it before i got the second loadout either, when i get to the matrix screen the only option i can select is select weapon all the other options (add mods etc) are grey and i cant scroll down when i go in and select weapon it just puts me all the way back to the loadout screen

I could be wrong, but it almost seems that you need to reach a certain EGO level to change some weapons. I've had this problem too, and even at 600+ EGO, I still do with some weapons. ESPECIALLY when trying to add mod slots, I just cant sometimes, not even the message "No options available" will show up on some of them.

It's always on the weapons I wish to mod the most too, go figure.

Oh well, eventually I'll find my "perfect" weapon, but for now, I still rock the Plague Bringer that I got from my Amazon pre-purchase, it STILL kills better than any other sniper I've tried, I've only JUST started adding mods to it too

make sure you don't have the weapon on any other loadout that you forgot about, happened to me the other night. i went back and changed that slot on an old loadout for a different weapon, then was able to remove mods form the weapon.
