Is there a secret to leveling infectors they seem to take forever...im shooting literally anything that moves and it barely moves up the exp bar.

PVP are really good place to lev them up.
Also starting location (with mutants ) is very good place to lev up low lev weapons.
And finnaly Arkfalls.

co-op missions work pretty good too. basically anywhere you can find an endless stream of mobs

They're terrible against dark matter and not very good against 99ers. Don't use them against them unless you're a masochist. Always try and kill the lowest hp targets first cause their corpse will spawn bugs.

I think using the automatic infector helps you do it the fastest

I level all of my weapon's in the same spot. San Quentin. When the hulker is about to die, just grenade-suicide, respawn, and he'll have full health. Makes leveling anything a breeze, Hope this helps! :]
