    Trion Blatantly Ignoring Paying Customer Concerns.

    like many other players i have fallen in love with the game, from co op pursuits to shadow war and everything in between. ive played many games over the years and I UNDERSTAND that mmos launch with issues that cant be ironed out until the player base can bring in enough information regarding these issues. i can easily look past server disconnects and social systems disappearing, these things can be worked around by a persistent player and really wont deter anyone who enjoys the game from continuing to do so.
    but there is one particular glitch that is absolutely game shattering and anyone who has experienced this im sure understands and will agree with me completely: weapons vanishing from your loadout slots.
    i had come to the conclusion that a sawed off VOT nano fragger would be the best weapon for the way i had intended to play in competitive pvp matches so i took the plunge on BITs and spent $100 on lockboxes to see if i could get a purple one atleast. luck was with me and i got a legendary with ego power recharge on reload.
    life was good.
    a couple days later i join a pvp match with an item in the salvage and *boop* gone bye bye to my fancy new $100 vot nano fragger.
    life is very bad and logging into the game brings more sadness then visiting a dying relative on their deathbed at this point.
    i scour the forums and decide its best to put in a support ticket and give live chat a shot. the live chat will not run in any browser i have(ie, mozzila, and chrome) for reasons i will admit im to simple to understand and i had no way of knowing that my support ticket would even be acknowledged considering the overflow tickets they are getting on a daily basis. i replied to my own ticket very politley stating how i felt as if this was not quite fair treatment of a paying customer and that i would no longer be purchasing any BITs or trion products until compensated accordingly for my money spent.
    this is what i got as an official response from GM Giant:

    "Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us in regards to Defiance. We apologize for the delay in responding to your request. At this time we are experiencing greater than anticipated volume which is resulting in longer than expected delays in our response times. Please rest assured that we are working around the clock and will get you the support you need as soon as possible.

    If you no longer require assistance then please close out your ticket as this will allow us to get to those with outstanding issues in a more timely fashion. If your issue remains unresolved then no further action is needed by you at this time.

    If you have any additional questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Thank you for your continued support of Trion Worlds and for playing Defiance.

    now i can hope this is a computer error and that half of the message is missing, or i can be honest with myself and see that trion has not even attempted to address the issue i presented to them and have done nothing to appease my concerns considering the fact that this could very well HAPPEN AGAIN if i was naive enough to purchase even more BITs at this time.
    todays patch notes have stated that they "Improved issues with salvage matrix causing items to disappear" but to someone who has already felt the sting of losing something quite valuable, and losing hope of re obtaining it, that does little to set my mind at ease. does "improved" mean i can now purchase another $100 of BITs without fear of losing the one (or maybe two) half decent items i might get for a second time?

    this isnt a flame post, i want to continue playing this game, but i cant be the only player out there who cant bring themselves to grind out or purchase a good weapon only to have it hang around there neck like a noose until the servers drop out from under us and it vanishes along with your desire to do it all again.

    Trion only takes down the server for fixing if the bug makes so the player gains something. Sad but true.

    That will be an automated message that responds when they are still busy sorting out Support Tickets sent before yours. They will get round to it and correct the problem as soon as they get past the Tickets sent before you submitted yours.

    I would suggest not using the store for buying weapons until it is more stable but to be honest, they should have certain things in the store disabled until they know the kinks have been ironed out... Would certainly reduce the number of complaints/issues they have to deal with and would be able to focus efforts on fixing the actual problem rather than resulting occurances!

    Wait for a proper response to your ticket and then see where it goes, best of luck

    I am not understanding everyone's problem. I personally have only had the game since Wednesday (so only been playing for 5 days). I have submitted 2 support tickets during this time about bugs. My first one was taken care of in about 6 hours, it was a minor bug with logging in. My second ticket was about like most loss of or not receiving items, I posted that ticket on Saturday. I got a message saying they are working on it. Being a student of game design I can understand they are being flooding with tickets left and right. Personally I am more glad to finally see someone who isn't flaming the hell out of Trion. All I can say is I hope seeing my experience encourages you to have faith that your problem will be resolved ASAP

    I had a gun that was in the matrix once and went on a co op only to get out and find I no longer had it. Then the next day I noticed I had a extra gun. I would wait it out a day and see if it reappears. But I do agree that is agrevating very much until the bug is fixed don't que up for anything while adding mod slots. Good news is over 1k to 1250 the items start dropping with all 4 mod slots open so no need to add slots only retrieve mods.

    the GM's have no power to reimburse a player however since the purchase was made using bits you do have doors open since there are consumer protection laws.

    if the bits purchase was recent within say 30 days your credit card generally has fraud protection report the loss saying you never received the item you paid for and mark it as credit card fraud and generally the credit card company will give your your money back and deduct it from trions accounts weather they want you to or not. additionally try filing a complaint with the FTC or BBB as well as trions legal department.

    though you do want to try the latter first as stopping a credit card payment is generally a last resort and can sometimes come with fees

    i really didnt want to have to go about a charge back on my credit card because in my experience that can leave me permanently banned. i really enjoy this game and wanted to continue playing after this was resolved but at this rate i wont have much choice but to follow through with it

    and yes i do understand that they are flooded with support tickets on a daily basis. i do not hold any grudge what so ever for that. i am not the pope, im just another player and they must take care of the playerbase as a whole before the individual can be focused on. this is sumthing i understand and can relate to on a personal level.

    my understanding of this does not change the fact that i only have a small window of time to declare a charge back on my credit card so THAT is where my frustration lies.

    that being said what do you other players do during this sort of server turmoil? i am so fearful of even logging in at this point lol

    wow wish my 5 guns i lost re appeared all modded too lol
