question about lock boxes

so with preorder and the codes added up i get 2 lock boxes, my question would be should i save them and wait for myself to have better keycodes and higher ego rating or open them asap?

do the contents reflect my current level and keycode on hand or are the ones we get from preorder and such automatically unlocked?

I don't know how it will work. It may just give you the keycodes required to buy them, or open immediately when you get in the game. If it gives you the keycodes it may be wise to just wait, but I wouldn't wait too long. Personally, I'd open them whenever you are tired of the weapons you have and want to try your luck.

It has been stated that (the pre order at least) will be unlocked and ready to open. You will probably have to select it in your inventory and it will open.

The lockbox's are random but they wont give you items that are beyond your ego rating at the time of opening. I wouldn't recommend hording your lockbox keys.

You will have ample opportunities to earn more keys and to open more lockboxes. And considering the end game is close to 5000 ego score. You would be holding onto those for a very long time.

I would go ahead and spend them early so you can get an early jump onto some possible great items.

I agree with Archangel, open them right away, there will be more to come as you level up.

appreciate it, now after reading this it would seem obvious to take the advantage of early bonus and run with it.

side note question... anyone know for a fact about the early access to the arkfall code vehicle? like is it a later game version we get early or you get it from first spawn vs a quest or two in as you normaly would?

If it's anything like Borderlands 2 Golden Keys I used to save the golden keys as a treat for myself when I hit a milestone, lvl 10, 25 or a new harder area and so on. Think I'll probably do the same again, no real reason for it, just my own little carrot.

I did exactly the same. Only problem is that I've hit the level cap and still have 33 keys to use! :-)
