I STILL would like to see an "instance" in which we visit the town and see some lively folk moving around or something
I am under the impression that The Defiant Few made their statement/stand in the city of San Fran. Considering the fact that Nolan himself is one of the Defiant Few, I couldn't see much reason why he would wish to return to that place. I could be mistaken so I'm hopeful that someone with a little more knowledge of the lore and history of this particular universe can shed some light on the subject.
I'm not worried... San Fransisco seems to be a treasure trove of ark tech, so I'm sure plenty of important characters and/or organizations in the show will have been to or will show up in the city.
They have always said that the show would be in St Louis and the game in San Fran. They both occur on the same world and history, but the game wont effect the show, at least in the first season thats already been filmed. But the show can effect the game
maybe we will get some part of San Fran like in the series for the old saint louis?

The show is set in St Louis. It is going to remain in St Louis. Nolan and Irisa left San Fran in the game to go through the badlands and then ended up in St. Louis. They're not heading back to San Fran.
The producers of the game have stated more than once that they want the show and game locations seperate. All this thread amounts to is wishful thinking otherwise.

Ill be honest, the current map as is, or even with a slight opening of areas, just isn't going to cut it if this game hopes to play with the big boys. If the DLC doesn't come close to doubling the game map theres going to be a lot of disappointed people and a lot of "told you so's"
Remember Defiance is just a ADVERB, i believe. The act or an example of defying; bold resistance to an opposing force or authority.
St Louis just happens to be called Defiance also.
Defiance was the action taken to create The Pale Wars. Hence there are many terms that Defiance is used for. Do not take for granted that the "city" Defiance is a set in stone point for either the TV show or game.
