I seem to have missed the tie in between last weeks build and this weeks episode of the show. I heard it was supposed to tie in with the floating lanterns, but those lanterns, I think, only appeared on screen for half a second near the end of the episode. Funny thing is that the lanterns tied in perfectly with an Episode of Hemlock Grove, the new Netflix modern horror series, which had me wondering if Trion didn't actually get their signals crossed some where. I'm sort of expecting to see werewolves or the Order of the Dragon pop up in game this week.

Seriously though, the initial Episode Mission that shipped with the game is exactly what they should be doing for every episode of the show. That tied in with the show in a really cool way, as well as adding some nice story content to the game. Looking at how much scripted and voiced story content made it into games like Guild Wars 2, Star Wars the Old Republic and Secret World, along with how short the main story line is in this game, there really is no excuse for not having voiced and scripted Episode Missions for every one of the 13 episodes in a season of the show.

A good portion of the appeal of this game for me was to see how well they could pull off the show tie ins. This really could be a first step in an entirely new way to enjoy Television/Media, but for more to follow Trion really has to not mess it up. So far they are 1-1 and I'm worried that Episode Missions will be a very rare experience moving forward.

Von Bach has to show up in St. Louis at some point. His genius is wasted in the SF wastes.

The Gateway Arch is just a bit over 600 feet tall... In the wide shots of the town, you can see it absolutely dominates the place.

    oh well

I was excited about the idea that the dlc content would be large sections of map with new locations that would span a large section of the country but I think I over estimated the game, I still like the game but what Bungie is working on "Destiny" will put this to bed. >

You all missed THE most important piece of information they let slip in the show... Apparently green eggs and ham is the breakfast of champions.

    So many lost opportunities imo...
O_o Did you skip the cut scenes and not bother to listen to any of the intel?

Has anyone looked at the map ( the one Mikulik looks at toward the end of the show ), and seen if it corresponds to any of the landmarks in san francisco?
Doing game/show content like that would be kind of cool.
Telling someone how they can improve is 200% more helpful then telling someone that they need to improve.

So, if the show is supposed to have an impact in the game world... why do all signs after tonight's episode point to them staying in St. Louis, heck, maybe even settling down, and not heading to San Fran? Is this really just going to be some cheesy, "Oh, new episode, do generic mission x to receive new item/outfit y"? That's not how I took it to be.

Anyone else worried about/want to discuss this?

EDIT: Lol, looks like they'll be fighting hell bugs next week; so that'll be cool.
It could be that the actions in the Bay Area and San Fran will echo and have an effect on what may happen at St. Louis. I potentially see episode missions in San Fran as precursors to St. Louis. Think of it like a ripple or an earthquake.

The map shown in the end looks a lot like tunnels, not a city.
This and the scrip somehow underline the accusation Ben made against Luke before fumping the gun (literally). What I rather would like to know is what the golden item is ... Rafe knows what it is, doesn't he? Or at least he knows of it's origin.

I imagine the game will carry the storyline and prep for the next season, between the show's seasons. I was disappointed when there was no mention of the gem in the show that Nolan ran off with in the game, such an easy and minor crossover.

So, about the golden artifact thingy... what was it doing in Old St. Louis? Was it there before the Votan arrival? Was it somehow lost there during the Pale Wars? And why is it worth killing a beloved city over?
