I got an Idea for bunny hopping.

I hate when people jump in pvp, HATE, HATE more then you know, let our roll be our main source for avoidance, jumping in a shooter (bunny hopping) is a clear sign of bad game mechanics, every time I see someone bunny hop I picture a 12 year old thinking he has mad skillz, as a matter of fact those that bunny hop should get there accounts taken away because this game is Rated M and they shouldn't be playing lol, I joke but really make bunny Hopping useless in this game.

My fix: Make it if a character is in combat he or she jumps at half the height and turns mid air at a much slower rate, also make it so they can't use weapons, just like you can't shoot while using Roll as of now, however make Roll more attractive by letting players be able to shoot while rolling but only allow hip shots with a larger bloom to balance damage to avoidance ratio and to keep the kids from spam rolling and shooting as there replacement for the bunny hopping nerf, this fix will put a end to bunny hopping and let players use roll more strategically.

You could just, I dunno, shoot the guy that's jumping. It's not like he can quickly change his direction in mid-air.

no, no, and hell no. like it or not, bunny hopping is a tactic, and it's been around since the dark ages of competitive gaming. right up there with corner trapping in Street Fighter 2 Turbo.

you claim no skill on their part, yet you still haven't figured out how to time your shots so you hit them in the head mid-jump, and laugh at them. gaming is all about pattern recognition, and when they're jumping the same height, every time, and non-stop, they're giving you the worlds easiest head-shot farming pattern i can think of, other than standing completely still.

whats even better is, every character jumps the same way... there is no "jump" skill that lets you jump higher, or animate the jump faster, so once you get the timing down, you're going to slaughter. you will make it so hitting the spacebar is just your opponent saying "please, hit me in the head, i want to die now". just keep practicing, and stop posting about it until you put up a fraps of you 1-manning an entire team because they failed to adapt to your tactics, instead of the other way around.

Bunny hopping is pretty lame. It is the one thing I try to avoid.

Tactic my *** lol, go jump like that in a battle field in real life, makes no sense, I tell you what, put on a bullet proof vest, have a buddy of your shoot you while you are in "Mid Air" with a shot gun, I am willing to bet you fly back ten feet on your ***, Bunny hopping in this game should work the same with real Earth physics (last I checked this game takes place on Earth), if a player wants to bunny hop, make it so if those jumpers get hit then they get knocked flat on there ***, bunny hopping is unrealistic an a exploit in shooter games

i'm sorry, i thought we were talking about bunny hopping in a video game. you know, not reality.

by the logic you're using, revive? banned. respawns? no. once dead? game deletes not just character, but account, because, you know, you're dead to the game.

this is a game, this is not the real world. learn their tactics, improve your own, laugh when they fail to adapt to your new methods. thats how a competitive scene like this one works. again, you don't like it, clearly you have not bothered looking for ways to counter it. it is not an exploit in any game that i've heard of on a tournament circuit, since, you know, its not a bug, or a glitch, and it's purely a measure of your skill if all it takes to beat you, consistently, is to keep pressing the space bar. again, your skill, not theirs.

Ya i hate bunny hopping too.
People keep saying, to simply shoot them but truth is, getting a headshot on a jumping target is a lot harder.
Also there's usually a disadvantage to changing your head level.
    Crouch you go slower.
    Roll you can't shoot.
Jump simply has nothing to counter it's advantages, in fact, just more advantages! Exemple : Close quarter, 2 shotgun, the guy on the ground aiming at the opponents head will have a lot of pellets hit the chest instead of head due to the chest "protecting" the head, the jumper pretty much has nothing protecting the head.
Same with nade launchers, more advantages!

Anyways, no matter the game, i've always been against bunny hopping.
