    ....wow

yeah a person might jump when they hear gunshots. they dont actually jump. And they certaintly dont jump around side to side trying to get closer to the source of the gunshots.

Bunny hopping will always be a tactic, be it good or bad. Because this game doesn't limit hopping in any way, and jumps are ridiculously high, bunny hopping becomes a viable strat to throw the average player off.

    Oh well....

My fix: Make it if a character is in combat he or she jumps at half the height and turns mid air at a much slower rate, also make it so they can't use weapons, just like you can't shoot while using Roll as of now, however make Roll more attractive by letting players be able to shoot while rolling but only allow hip shots with a larger bloom to balance damage to avoidance ratio and to keep the kids from spam rolling and shooting as there replacement for the bunny hopping nerf, this fix will put a end to bunny hopping and let players use roll more strategically.
I HATE bunny hoppers with a passion. Simple solution:

When your character is not on his feet then said character take 2-3 the amount of normal damage.

This takes away the noob stupidity of jumping like a rabbit and forces them to actually fight. You know, like the main point of shooter game is to do.

You know, fight, shoot, kill. Stuff like that.

    Amen.

Think its bad in Defiance? Play Halo. That's all they do.

Oh I'm sorry . . . if you do that in Halo, you are considered MLG.

*on the floor now, laughing, peeing all over self and floor*

    MLG LMAO!!!

Bunny hopping isn't the problem, people just need to L2P. Also complaining about it makes people like me do it even more, just to piss you off because trolololololol.

you claim no skill on their part, yet you still haven't figured out how to time your shots so you hit them in the head mid-jump, and laugh at them. gaming is all about pattern recognition, and when they're jumping the same height, every time, and non-stop, they're giving you the worlds easiest head-shot farming pattern i can think of, other than standing completely still.

whats even better is, every character jumps the same way... there is no "jump" skill that lets you jump higher, or animate the jump faster, so once you get the timing down, you're going to slaughter. you will make it so hitting the spacebar is just your opponent saying "please, hit me in the head, i want to die now". just keep practicing, and stop posting about it until you put up a fraps of you 1-manning an entire team because they failed to adapt to your tactics, instead of the other way around.
LMAO man... Street Fighter 2 Turbo xD

bunny hopping is pathetic. It may have been a thing in FPS-gaming like CS for a long time and it wasn't nearly as op in CS. In defiance it's pathetic when people jump with infectors like bunch of idiots. with infector you don't even need to aim so well if you want to hit someone and it's a bit harder to hit the player when he's jumping. Anyways... The only weapon I REALLY hate that the jumpers use, is the infector(and maybe some detonators)... pretty much all the other weapons are dodgeable/counter-able.... the jumping in Defiance is simply childish...

Simply can't enjoy the PvP until something is done about the jumping and some balancing... Sometimes I don't even bother to do the Competive Contracts and I still have some Competitive goals to do. Competive/Shadow War is the worst thing in the game at the moment.

stamina bar is all that could be done, but thes kinds of strategys are always around in competitive shooters.
i remember one of the call of dutys evry1 used to run around and jump dive onto there bellys cause it was a tactic.
could never stop laughing cause it looked so silly.
