Generally speaking, correcting other people's grammar online is something I only do if asked (such as reviewing something), or if the individual is needlessly jumping on someone else's grammar while making mistakes of their own. Since this is an informal setting, where people often type as they speak, grammatical issues, or issues with syntax, organization, or the overuse of colloquialisms doesn't bother me. The only stipulation is when someone types in such a manner where it's nearly impossible to comprehend what that person wrote, without reading the post over and over and over again, all the while making assumptions as to what that individual is saying.

Additionally, I don't care to type with perfect grammar. I use tumblr a lot, and my habit for typing on there is "like this usually ignoring capitalization, sometimes punctuation, since for some reason everyone there understands me when i type like this and it's just a habit i picked up there." Then again, most people I know on tumblr are personal friends who pretty much know me, so there's no desire to present myself in any other way.

You, my friend, nailed it perfectly. I'd likely take someone far more seriously if they're not typing at elementary levels.

To the OP: What ever good ideas you may have may still very well be good, but if you typed something along the lines of " u shuold impliment a systm 2 prevent ppl from drving thru arkfallz" then I doubt anyone's going to pay much attention to it. Put some effort into your typing, it goes a long way.

Okay, I'm pretty sure this is a troll thread at this point (for if not, it is truly one of the most depressing threads i've come across in a while). Still, I'll humor it, for the sake of my own personal entertainment.

Yes, "it's" is a contraction, but what do you think it is a contraction of? I'm genuinely curious at this point.

Not only does the use of correct grammar and punctuation say a lot about your education and the type of person you are; the entire purpose of grammar in any language is to allow clear and concise communication. It's much more likely that anything said without grammar will be interpreted in a way you really hadn't anticipated; e.g. have you ever had a conversation, especially with the opposite sex, that went in a direction that quite literally left you wondering what the hell they heard, when you know exactly what you said?

An English teacher wrote the following sentence on the blackboard: "A woman without her man is nothing", then asked the students to fill in the punctuation.

Every single male student wrote: "A woman, without her man, is nothing."

Every single female student wrote: "A woman: Without her, man is nothing."

    Need I say more?

I do not think this has anything to do with grammer, spelling or anything except for trolling.
