very simple thing that would make the game so much better

Mapping the loadout change on the controller.

Seriously this would make the game so much more enjoyable than it is now , just the fact that we're not forced to bring out the menu to press the loadout change button.

I believe that is a humble request.

Ok which button would you use?

The point of the loadout is to plan your equipment BEFORE you fight. The system is not meant to let you carry 6 weapons.

    Devs, please don't change this

I think the OP has to come to the conclusion of which button to use to swap loadouts.

For the Xbox so far the buttons are logically used in such a way it makes sense.
    LB Ego Power
    RB Grenade
    Y to swap weapons
    B to crouch
    X to Reload
    A to jump
    bb+Ltumbstick roll in direction
    Rtumbstick down to melee
    Rtrigger to fire
    Ltrigger to aim
    Ltumbstick to sprint
    Up dpad to call vehicle
    Ldpad to open emote window
    rdpad to open matchmaking window
    Ddpad to change chat zone
    back button map
    start button Menu

IN all i see all the uses for at least the Xbox controller don't know how you would put in a loadout swap button where every button is logically used.

I know it'd take a (probably) fairly big UI overhaul but we probably could've got by with having the chat channel selector in the radial menu and the load out changer on the down d-pad or move the map button into the RB/LB menus and have "Back" cycle load outs.

I know some of you seem vehemently against having an easier time switching on the fly (for some reason) but it would improve the game for more people I'd wager.

This is actually very easy to implement.
just hold Y to switch loadout.
they already have a "tap x to pickup item, hold x to pickup and equip", so it wouldn't be exactly without precedent. to balance it, you could make it so that only 2 loadouts could be designated to switch back and forth between. the rest must be changed in menu as normal. also make it take a couple seconds filling up a circular progress bar like most x interactions require. it would balance it so that you couldn't switch INSTANTLY, but it would still be much better than going into a menu in the middle of a fire fight and be blind to everything happening around you while you switch.

My point is , YES it is very quick to change your loadout , hit start then triangle/Y , then start again to close the menu.
BUT most of the time , the weapons take some time to "appear" in your hands , or the character just do not appear for a few seconds after existing menu while the ennemy can still shoot at me.
Just swapping loadout by holding triangle/Y would prevent this annoyance.

I do not see that as gamebreaking since changing loadout/powers do not reset your cooldown.

Try having the same outfit on those loadouts, it speeds up the rendering.
