There could be a difference between "settled" and when defiance got "founded" as a town. Most likely an error in script etc., would be nice to know though who were the first settlers.

    Edit:

Official timeline states it: 1st settlers were Irathient farmers in 2030, since that is known an error is the most likely explanation.

In this official timeline it is also stated that:

2037: The ad-hoc mining town built upon the ruins of St. Louis officially becomes the town of Defiance.

"20.Irathient don't Immunize their children. It wasn't explained why however it might be religious."

Not true. We know the ones at Defiant didn't immunize their children, saying the entire race doesn't seems to be assuming an awful lot based on the actions of 1,000 people.

    Not the MLK bridge.

Our newest Bridge also doesn't look like that. It looks like our railway bridge down town.

I assumed it was an extension of the one we have now - but it isn't close to St. Louis.

We've been told that due to the war, fossil fuels could not be brought in so they built more nuclear reactors including one in St. Louis.

Since it seems you are a current local would you be able to identify that statue at ~27min mark on DVR? Looks like a statue giving the "GOAL!" hand signal.

What's funny when he said "went up during the pale war" I thought he meant it was destroyed or became unsafe. I never thought that to mean it was built.
