Key codes maxed out

In the top left corner on the screen, under the health bar, it says key codes maxed out. Now I may sound like a noob for asking this and I really don't mind it but where do I find these key codes so I can get rid of the message. I looked at all the menus I could find with my noob mind and I still got no clue what's going on. Can someone help me? I will greatly appreciate it.

Go to a lockbox > select Tier 1 Lockbox > buy with resources.
I think thats it, hope it helped ;D

Use them along with scrip to buy lockboxes from the lockbox vendor.

You can only carry one key code early in the game, and your inventory is full! Go to a vendor and you can spend a keycode and some scrip to buy a lockbox. In the lockbox you will get some loot!

Spent 4 hours with that up there before I even tried a lockbox. Having too much fun killing to actually think things through.
