-Nim was so easy! I killed him in one shot without dying once!
-They should have made that boss harder, it was so easy. I've done it twice now.
-Why would anyone think that boss is hard? LoL

And so forth. There were a couple of gratses along the way, but it seems that instead of being happy for someone who is excited and feeling they've made a personal accomplishment, people either are trying to make themselves seem superior or to seriously belittle others and their accomplishments.

I've seen it in other threads as well with people posting problems with the boss and saying it's too hard. Instead of constructive comments on how to beat him, or suggestions on loadout builds or things like that, there's mostly a lot of the same as I received in clan chat. 'LoL you think it is hard? Learn to play noob!' Or the backhanded 'here's how to do it but I did it in one shot and it was super easy'.

Look, I don't think people are asking for peoples' personal opinions and uber prowess in gaining the same achievement when they say "woo hoo I beat Nim finally" or "I'm having a lot of problems with Nim". The nice thing to do is to say congratulations or way to go, or any number of positive things rather than belittle them. Or if they're having trouble, either tell them how to do it without added 'it's so easy, quit QQing' comments that are only there to put someone down.

I guess I just don't understand it. Anyway, congratulations to all of you who have beaten Nim and have made accomplishments in the game whether it was easy or hard for you. Well done.

And if you haven't beaten him yet, please keep trying and know you're not alone in feeling it is difficult even if most of the posts that get posted talk about one-shotting him and how easy it is. If I can do it, you can too.

It was tough but each step saves so if you can get past stage 1, you won't bump back down to it if you die in stage 2. Same with beating stage 2.

If you have opinions about how easy the boss is or how it should be made so much harder, keep them to yourself please. Start another thread in suggestions for beefing up the final fight or something or having a hardmode, if you want that. It doesn't belong here.
There are 2 Bosses in the game that are just a pain in the ***. Jack & Nim . Took me a while to beat him and since I play on both PC & PS3 I had & did beat him twice. Easier on PS3 with the Double Tap Roll. PC Alt & the blasted Window Key made it almost impossible lol Managed to Pull it off around my 8th try I think With a BMG I had no Rank in lol But by the In I had 1 Rank. BMG's are awesome. Advice I give to anyone Trying any Boss. "ROLL!!! ROLL FOR YOUR LIFE!! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ROLL!!Stop rolling DEAD hit the Window Key DEAD. " And that sums up my tactic for every boss in the game. You sure "-Why would anyone think that boss is hard? LoL" wasn't just being Sarcastic because he got Owned by Nim a million times too?

Some people are used to more difficult games.

In case there is constant whining about how "difficult" some boss is there is a good change devs will make the game even easier than it already is.

People who say that Nim was easy/not difficult simply want a challenge, they're bored of easy games.

I beat Nim at the first try, I don't say Nim was easy, but I really have faced much more difficult enemies at other games.
Defiance currently lacks a higher difficult mode, or something challenging ("endgame content").
This won't ever be implemented if there is only one type of voice active at the forum - the crying one.

So without any intentions to belittle your efforts:
Nim could've been much more difficult, as could've been other aspects of the game and I'ld really like to see some actually challenging content in order to keep up my motivation.

I have been playing MMO's/Online games since Everquest (2000), One thing i have learned is not to take things personally online. This lesson was hard at first. But now i could care less if i get flamed from random people, the only time i might care online is if i been in a guild/clan for a decent amount of time and they personally attack you. But even then i do not take it seriously. I never had to deal w/ this in Everquest, Everquest had the best community of players. They were helpful and sympathetic to what ever was going on.

I started seeing this troll persona emerge about Burning Crusades in World of Warcraft, i personally blame it on Xbox live were these kids learned they could get away w/ saying anything to anyone. They like to get a rise out of people for some odd reason. I really do not know though. I am speculating what i have seen in the past 13 years in gaming online.

I am sure some of you would give me flack for using a Xbox 360 controller w/ Defiance (PC). I personally find it easier and more efficient for me. Others tell me that it sucks for aiming compared to the keyboard and mouse. It is a little slower, but it is easier on other aspects.

My guild In RIFT whom i raid w/ 20 hours a week, went through a troll problem in our guild. We are definitly a top guild on our server in rift, so we naturally attract alot of people. Some of the people we attract were down right mean and nasty. When you reach a peak in a game for difficulty you tend to get people who think they are the best at the game. We had this person come in and laugh at another in ventrillo for dying to a rather easy mechanic. We naturally kicked him out, my guild leaders dont want that kind of attitude in our guild. So there is hope of some nice people out there. You just have to search in the correct spots. My advice would be to make a thread saying you are looking for a clan who will treat you right. I am almost positive you will get alot of hits.

Other than that, congratulations for Killing NIM. I also wish you the best of luck in this game and other online games.

Nim wasn't hard at all...just long endurance fight...
I 1shotted him without hacks or such.
My standard gear was AR and shotgun with frags(15rounds mag). I figured out fast that the shotgun will be my best chance.
Just kite him like hell/dodge and avoid his aoe by LoS-ing around pillars.

Should he be nerfed? I don't know. I didn't feel that he was hard...but sure felt that other missions in San Francisco were harder then him.
Maybe the main storyline should be accessible to everyone so if the majority feels that it needs a nerf, it may need.

This is not the main issue of the game. I'd rather have secondary missions harder and better rewards for them, or at least somekind of a "heroic mode". That could apply to co-op missions and the main mission after you finished them once. (I am re-doing the main mission because arkfalls are boring, I don't PvP and co-op missions aren't challenging enough.

So you 1 shotted him without hacks... have to say after I read that, I realized you were full of crap. Sure you one shotted him. LOL Maybe you one shotted his clones or something.

This speaks not about Nims difficulty, but about amount of totally afraid of a little challenge casuals in the game. Which is most anoying thing about whole Nim's "situation" (at least for me). As some person mentioned before - the chances of us getting more challenging content are dropping more and more after all this whining.

    This, this, this.

The forums are filled with threads saying how hard Nim is, and how badly he needs to get nerfed. If this were to happen, all future content would present no challenge whatsoever to any player, where's the fun in that? the AI is already pretty ******ed, imagine if they nerfed it.
