In the days of financial turmoil and expensive season passes, we all have that little voice. The easy thing you can do is check out the livestream archive and play the beta, but really you just have see if it's worth the risk involved in any brand new IP.

I made a blog kinda telling why I decided to buy it if you want to check it out:

    Or

You can take my word for it... The game is hella fun to play and this community is amazing.
    I'd just roll with that
But in all honesty ive been around with this community since there was only 5 or so people active on it and ive seen it grow into what it is now. and thats just plain awesome

If you like your shooters, like a good story, are interested in the fact that the game is linked with a TV show you cant go wrong.
From playing in london and the Lock in events here in the UK people have enjoyed it. They like how the game feels and what you can do in it.

As for me. This game just rocks

Don't get me wrong, both are great games and have a lot of potential, but they didn't seem to be what I was looking for.

Most recently I've been playing a game called All Points Bulletin: Reloaded which is MMO third person shooter, but the gameplay is fundamentally broken. I love MMO shooters, so this game really caught my eye. I'm especially drawn in because I love the SyFy channel too.

Are there enough people playing this game? Is the game 'balanced'? Is there a lot of content? Feedback appreciated.
I believe plenty of people are going to ge this game and what makes it even better is the level of co-op you can do. Its also designed where you can do the main story really on your own. Of course, the instances you will have to do with other people/friends but the game doesnt force you to always do co-op. I had The Secret World and Guild Wars 2 (I feel GW2 is better but oh well) but they didnt have enough action for me. This game appears to be more streamlined in a good way with a good focus on action and a pretty intriguing story as well. The multiplayer looks awesome too and the amount of weaponry is going to be great. Definitely play in the Beta like others have mentioned and hope to see you on Defiance!

praise from the man himself! tonight i will sacrifice 2 goats in your honour!

but seriously though. no matter what we do here, no one will convince you, the only person to ask is yourself. try the beta, or watch through the countless hours of livestreams.

they give you a great feel of the game.

(Solo is usually the way I play mostly... I just like the large/huge worlds that come with MMOs typically... don't mind teaming occasionally with people I know or get to know... but random groups are a lot like going all the way on the first date... you never know what you're gonna' get...)
Gonna be careful with NDA here, but I would say that it's not quite the pull your hair out difficulty when soloing. I hit a wall when I was playing, but my PC sucks and it was not a smooth gaming experience so that definitely contributed to my poor performance.

BUT even if you are soloing and you hit a wall, eventually people will come along and indirectly help you since, even if you are not in a party, you automatically help one another.

From what I've seen and played through the Beta it should be really fun.

And as someone who only wanted the game at first because it was connected to the Syfy show that should help you a little XD That still is going to be the best part for me, seeing the show and game effect each other. It's pretty much the first of it's kind as far as I can tell. Unfortunately it's hard to tell how much they will be effected cause nothing had actually come out yet but I think it will be worth it. And free to play so that's always great. XD

My best advice dont buy it, if you have to depend on other people opinions to make your own, you are in trouble. Make your own decision based on the facts you learn, no in what people tell you, specially people that are faceless. You dont know who we are. Research, study and make your own decision

Sometimes you have to sit and ask yourself, "Do I want to be on the ground floor of this game?". Then you have to ask yourself a different question for THIS game specifically. The game releases April 2nd. The show starts, what, April 15th? So, you have two weeks of a game that is likely to lead up to the start of the show(pretty sure this is public knowledge and I saw them promoting it in their videos). So, do you want to be on the ground floor of the first of it's kind? A TV Show/Game interactive experience?

I've not played the game so I can't vouch for it but I know from watching/reading that I want to be on the ground floor. I want to be a part of the base that holds something epic above it.

I mean the game looks absolutely wonderful and I want to be a part of it as soon as I can.
