To Trion, We Want Answers, This Is Getting Ridiculous Why Is The Game Broken?

    To Trion
Why haven't you responded to a single one of the major faults, bugs, complaints, and general ****tyness of your game that have been posted on this forum (whats the point of it if you don't communicate with us). Don't get me wrong its awesome "When" it works, but it hasn't work since that 9 hours of down time (US PC Server) and before that it was sketchy at best. The players just want to know what the hell your doing about it?

    A response would be nice.....

    Yours Sincerely

    Pissed Off Customer

Because all that is posted here is old news that Trion acknowledged already. They're not going to reply to the exact same issues all the time. A bit of searching would help instead of jumping to conclusions.

I can understand where you're coming from, but you should to search the forums or seek other means before posting something like this. The support team will already be snowed under trying to answer support requests from other people, as well as dealing with numerous other issues that come with the launch of a new mmo.

There will be hundreds, if not thousands, of people wanting assistance with their issues, no matter how small, and expecting their issue to be a number one priority. Just because you paid for the game, doesn't give you higher priority than everyone else that paid for it too.

This is a new MMO... its bound to be riddled with bugs and glitches, and its not unusual to expect prolonged, unexpected or unannounced downtime in the first few months. Additionally, you can't expect everything to be fixed with no downtime, it either stays broken with no downtime or vice versa.

Having been an online gamer since the era of dial-in MUDS, I can appreciate the frustration when things don't work, but you can't expect everything to just work straight out the gate. I remember years ago playing a MUD and having the server crash and losing months worth of gametime in a character that was simply deleted. While I didn't pay for the MUD, I still felt a sense of entitlement having donated so much of my time to the game world. Unfortunately, these issues come with the territory of new online games.

Also- if you're having issues with bugs/glitches submit a support request if there isn't already a question to answer your issue. If it still doesn't work, jump on live chat.

I submitted a support request that was unanswered, so I logged onto live chat last night, and it was solved within 10 minutes (including waiting time, and chatting to the support person). It was quick, easy and some of the best customer service I've had in an online game.

Edit- As a side note, has anyone started a community based news site? Something along the lines of a 'Camelot Herald' for Dark Age of Camelot, which is comprised of nothing but information on the front page apart from status and development updates? I know there is the official community blog, but it isn't updated too often.

Two magical places where you can learn cool stuff from Trion. You have to be intoxicated to think that they will officially reply to every single clone thread.

And if you go to both of those links all it says in both spots is that the server is up. There's not a single mention of people having time out issues, acknowledging that the problem exists, that they are working to resolve the issue or an eta on resolution. These are the basics of problem resolution and so far nada.

When I pay money for something - I expect it to work as advertised. This is not a free game, and taking peoples money for a game that does not work, is low. I am a software developer, and I would not release a product that had these types of flaws. In addition, if issues did come up - I would have very clear statements from support that detail the issue and lead time on fixing it. Right now, there are thousands of people wondering why the game they paid up to $100 for does not work - and nobody from Trion is saying anything about what they are doing about it. Its weak and heartless to hide behind a failed product and not give clear updates to the people paying for it. As far as customer service in online chat - that does not scale to meet the needs of the thousands of people who are trying to play this game right now and not able to get on. A simple message from support detailing the issue and what's being done to fix it - would be the honorable thing to do. However, that's not happening and now all these customers who paid their money up front for a game that has been nothing but a headache, are left wondering what's going on exactly. Weak, shameful - Trion get it together, its unethical to treat your customers this way.

First, there was no "Bug free" label on it. Second, nobody cares what you do for a living, it doesn't make your opinion any more valuable that anyone else's in this situation. Third, you would release a heavily flawed product if you worked on a strict schedule, like for a show tie-in.
