Seriously? This is an MMO released on 3 separate platforms. I have never made an MMO, but from my experience in coding languages to make simple games once you fix one issue another one pops up. Again this is an MMO it's going to be beta tested the issues from beta will be resolved to the best of their knowledge then once released new issues come out. Once you fix those issues more issues potentially form. This viscous cycle of constant bug fixing and tweaking will continue throughout the games development.

Also as a reminder the game is related to the television show sharing the same name. As planned from the very beginning the game was to be released alongside the show, so focus had to be turned to the absolute biggest bugs of the game, such as ones that won't even let you get into the game, not the ones that make servers crash or CTD's. They are one company without the numbers of other companies such as Blizzard, and are trying to fix problems for 3 different platforms. So one problem that persists in all 3 platforms has to be fixed 3 different ways.

Quit complaining for spending some money for a great game that is having some trouble. All MMO's do this, it's a matter of what's wrong, what platform, then after that's fixed what's wrong this time? And this will continue for a while until it gets to a stable plateau. Then a DLC comes out and it begins again.

So please, for Trion don't make assumptions, and be glad that I'm not the owner of this company because I will have just put two fingers up to all of the ungrateful people and just shut the game down without any warning. In all seriousness this is like kicking someone while they are doing all that they can possibly do sleeping at the office on their desks because they care. It's absolutely sickening to see you guys this way, ungrateful for all the work that they are doing, although you don't see it but I'm willing to bet good money that more than half the developers for this game aren't sleeping more than 5 hours a night trying to get this game working. Sadly they put this much effort to appease a bunch of ungrateful, whiny brats on the internet thinking because their parents bought them a video game that is F2P.

Now if this game was P2P then trust me, i would be positively livid beyond belief. But i wouldn't go to the point of giving up all hope in these people like you are "threatening" to do. I would have been active on the forums a lot sooner, but just reading what some of you say to these people is disgusting.

I could say the same thing, but from the other side of the coin. People have every right to complain when they pay for a product. If the game was free, I might agree with some of your points, but it wasn't.

There is a way to handle everything, and honestly, neither "side" on these forums is doing it right.

Seriously???? You would release a heavily flawed product if there was a strict schedule??? That right there IS THE REASON there are so many issues, bugs, and pretty much a huge pissed off fan base. The game HAD to be released because of the show. They needed to have more lead time for this game. It should be in beta for another 6 months at least. But they HAD to push it out the door because of the series.

I was in alpha, and played the beta weekends, and I as well as many others could see that little progress was being made, yet the show was coming up, so it didn't matter......

It was a very admirable goal to do this tie in stuff, it's really the only reason I paid for the game after the crappy testing phases.... but in practice... the world will soon be empty, and it won't be because of a glitch, it'll be from every player leaving because of all the constant glitches, and the patches that sorta fix one thing but break 10 more.....

I mean... from day 1 people complained about the chat window...... how hard is it to make it an option to leave it up all the time?? I know console folk have no need for it, but that just about proves my point that this was coded for console in a rush, poorly ported to pc, and in trying to make it good for all, it's good for none, crap to all.

Having voice chat on by default?? What kind of crazy crap is that??? How 'immersive' is it to always be hearing someone breathing hard, or blasting music, or yelling at the kids or wife or dog or themselves because there is NO PUSH TO TALK option and mic is active always??

There are many more issues, most of you know most of them........ these are just 2 of the most common.... I've been playing online games for more than 20 years..... yes.... I go waaaay back to the commodore 64 days when online gaming was the text game Trade Wars....... and I have been involved in many, many alphas, and betas.... I've held my tongue on this fiasco until now...... it's just so sad.......

Yeah, I don't mean to berate our console brothers but if the game didn't have to be tailored and optimised for ancient hardware, it would have been done and dusted probably ahead of time. Also, yes, I would release a very heavily flawed product because I would be bound by a legal contract.

Really? People are demanding effective communication from Trion by berating, belittling and threatening them?

Because the best way to get a response is to throw a tantrum? Come on now....Would you do that at your local market? bank? No? Then don't do it on the Internet.
people wouldn't be sounding so pissed of if trion had made a public announcement already whats the point of these forums and whats the point of a community manager (@sledgehammer70) if they dont manage the community ie communicate with us! all we want is an answer but they have gone completely dark

In addition, if issues did come up - I would have very clear statements from support that detail the issue and lead time on fixing it. Right now, there are thousands of people wondering why the game they paid up to $100 for does not work - and nobody from Trion is saying anything about what they are doing about it. Its weak and heartless to hide behind a failed product and not give clear updates to the people paying for it. As far as customer service in online chat - that does not scale to meet the needs of the thousands of people who are trying to play this game right now and not able to get on. A simple message from support detailing the issue and what's being done to fix it - would be the honorable thing to do. However, that's not happening and now all these customers who paid their money up front for a game that has been nothing but a headache, are left wondering what's going on exactly. Weak, shameful - Trion get it together, its unethical to treat your customers this way.
Do not bother on this forum its full of fanboy trolls mocking people that are having issues. The cs is pretty much useless but you can try. I will never buy a trion game right away again. The people these days think games you cant play for weeks is normal and complain about people complaining. I suggest unloading the game and buy again when it is playable in 4-12 months. This has soul but it was far from ready to be released. If this was free like dcuo i would be ok but i spent over 120 on this. But again these forums are bad right now try gf. They are more helpful there.

What answer, directly, have you asked that you do not have an answer for, because if it hasn't been addressed already in this thread I guarantee that whatever it is, if it's answerable ( aka " When will this game be 100% bug free?!?! " is not an answerable question ) someone will likely know already, and/or find where the answer was posted by the Trion staff.

It is quite amazing to me that you completely missed earlier where it was mentioned that Sledge is sick as hell, as in he has the sort of flu that gives you about 5 seconds between when you think you're going to **** your pants and when you do. This leaves a hole in the current communication system that is temporary. If this is your particular problem please let message me your work phone number and then message me when you're out sick so I can call you and moan about something so that you may gain perspective on his predicament.

From my personal experience I've contacted Sledge before and gotten a response in less than a few hours. Perhaps it was the way you worded your question.

All of the above mentioned, and addressed ( again and again in thread after thread ) get on with your questions and the community can answer it I'm 99% sure. I will say this however, if your question is one that has been asked a thousand time, and answered a thousand times, on other threads or by Trion itself, then I request that you publicly on this thread admit you're a ******, and vow to never again whine on the forums. If you accept these terms, the challenge will be met.

In case it's gone unnoticed by now, I'm about 10,000 times more annoyed by the QQ brigade on these forums than by anything wrong with Defiance. So go ahead and ask your questions and when they're answered man up at least enough to admit you were wrong and then honor your promise to go away and stop polluting these forums with your chihuahua yipping so that we can actually move on to working with Trion ( those of us who know how, instead of just *****ing at them ) to make the game better.

"These days", lol. Were you even alive back in the day when you bought a game that could simply not work? Also, yes, you can play this game.
