The game lacks content surely, although it's a buy to play game. Which means you aren't punished for putting the game down and not playing it. Pretty much if you want to put more life into the game here goes how you do it.

Strive for the achievements and pursuits.

If you are really bored of the game, just put it down, pick it back up every Tuesday, check if new episode content has been introduced. Do the new content than put the game down again until the next Tuesday.

Eventually more content will be added to extend the game, you just need to wait for the season pass content to start rolling out.

I am on my last leg, and about to jump off myself. In fact I ordered a replacement game today, and it will be delivered tomorrow. To be honest I am somewhat amazed at the levels some of you were at when you finished the main story quest. I did that on day three with a ego rating of 350. I had finished with the side quests two days later at a ego rating of 500. I also did a number of events, and even did a lot of roadside emergencies in that time frame. I would say after a week I had done about eighty percent of the content in the game.

The episodic content they have put out doesn't really impress me either. They are straight up filler content. Nothing really all that big to keep the game fresh. I thought given how simple the game was that the episodic content provided would be more extravagant to make up the difference. Like we would get horde mode events, new dungeons would appear, new enemies would come into the world, or we would have to do some long winding escort mission. Nope more generic road side emergencies, and I do not think we should have to pay for expansions to get real additional content.

I'm getting close to 1800 Ego, have done the main story two and a half times, finished every job, done every arkfall and co-op multiple times, probably done every emergency at least once, have finished a ton of pursuits, and been fairly casual into pvp... and I'm still logging in and having fun. Different people like different kinds of games. Its just the way of things.

To me I genuinely prefer having a small handful of enemies that spread across the world rather than the old MMO standard of "This zone has gnolls, this zone has orcs... of course they fight exactly the same.. but they look different!" or "This quest wants me to go get flags, the last one wanted me to go get broken swords.. so its totally different!" .. in that sense I think Defiance is more honest about what it is.

Between Arkfalls, emergencies, static encounters like the various mines that you can repeat, the main story, pursuits, the pvp modes, co-ops, and running races and such for rewards... there is plenty to do in Defiance.. people just don't want to see it because they only accept the linear progression of other mmos as being 'the way it has to be" .. and if you like that, there are a ton of great games for you out there... I'm glad Defiance is different.
