I'm not saying that the posters in this thread don't understand that, just saying that a lot of people don't.

Once again, what is the point of this thread... are you trying to convince console users to switch to PC? If so... it's not going to happen.

I play games that were made for PC on my PC, and I play games that were made for the console on my xbox.
Games that were made for the console are generally more fun on the console, and vice versa.

I think console are just more of a convenient way to play games. Just pop in the disc and play. Sure I could hook up controllers to pc and put it on my tv but that's too much effort. I enjoy being lazy.

    Ease of use:

Computer: Press power button, double click on the game you want to run, play.

Console: Press power button, navigate to the game you want to run, play it.

Computer: Mouse/keyboard friendly. Controller friendly. Hundreds of joysticks/controllers to choose from, since you can use any brand.

Console: Mouse/keyboard friendly. Controller friendly. Very few joysticks/controllers to choose from.

Computer: 500 to 700 dollars for a gaming computer that will run modern games at max settings.
Computer: 350 dollars for a computer that will run games at slightly better settings than a console

    Console: 300 dollars.

Console: Modified to be only efficient at running games.

Computer: can run and do anything, from work, school, or games.

Computer: can design video games and video game consoles on a computer.

Console: lesser specs than most pc's

Computer: higher available specs than a console.

Computer: can be placed in your living room, on your entertainment center, especially if its in a small form factor case. (they are extremely small now, and look great, just browse the cases at newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-ITX%20Desktop

Console: can be placed in your living room, on your entertainment center, etc etc.

Consoles are the reason that video game's graphics aren't progressing very quickly. Since people are so into consoles due to a lack of familiarity with PC's, the game developers are designing games to be able to run on 8 year old console technology. Its really holding us back.

This is a silly debate so I'll make this my last statement.

There is literally no way in hell that you can have a $700 PC that's 8 years old run anything current at max unless you've put at leas that much money, if not more, back into upgrades for it. Now maybe you have some kinda of hookup where you can get parts cheaply, but regardless I put $300 into my xbox and it has played every game I've ever bought without need for an upgrade.

I don't think it's any secret that PCs offer superior performance, and many of us know that you can hook them to your TV, use controllers of various builds and all that good stuff. But you are grossly undercutting the price my friend lol.

You also have to take into account game development. For PCs devs come out with new games that are more and more system intensive because the systems continue to improve. This means that you might need a $300 upgrade every two years for a graphics card to keep playing games.

The fact of the matter is that in terms of price and convenience, consoles smash PCs while PCs smash consoles in performance.

I'm happy with my 360 and I'm glad you're happy with your PC. I don't see the point in trying to "convert" anyone though, it's just silly! Although from a troll perspective it is a hot topic lol!

Pros and cons to both... But the minimal troubleshooting is what will keep me on a console for the foreseeable future...

The point was made in the post. Obviously you don't think the point matters, and you're entitled to that opinion. But regardless, the point was made. Like it or not.
