In my personal opinion I prefer Xbox. Less chance of being hacked and a hell of a lot cheaper than PC. My cousin made his own gaming computer, he done it all at uni and cost him a lot more than $700...
Putting that aside..
What's the point of this post? To let people know you 'apparently' have a really good cheap computer?
Well congratulations I'm happy for you.
Consoles are good if you just want to pop a game in and play it without worrying. PCs are good if you want more than consoles give you and you don't mind paying extra, because you are an idiot if you want a good gaming PC for the price of a console.
PC = GAMERS
CONSOLE = LAMERS

If a game is released on both PC and console, the console version is almost always the overwhelming choice. Black Ops 2 for example: In it's first week it sold 15 times more copies for Xbox 360 than it did for PC. If you add in the PS3 it becomes 25 times more copies sold for console than PC.
I am not saying that console is better (PC tech will always surpass that of consoles) but I am saying its more accessible to more people, monetarily and in ease of use. Also, comparing components straight up is ridiculous. PC's have to run a complete operating system and AV and other backround processes that a console does not.
Most people do not want to spend $1000-2000 on a gaming rig that will need to be upgraded every 2-3 years.
If you spend $1000 on a PC and in a ten year span upgrade the video card alone three times at $300 a pop, you will spend around $2000 in ten years. You could theoretically purchase a new console for $500 3 times in that span and still save $500.
Article containing Black Ops Sales Figures:
"As revealed through VGcharts on Nov. 23, “Black Ops 2,” which is shown in the slide-show above, sold a total of 11.22 million copies throughout the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. In reference to the amount of units each particular platform achieved, the Xbox 360 obtained 6.21 million units, which makes up 55% of the total sales. The PlayStation 3 version of the game achieved 4.61 million units, while the PC version obtained 400,859 copies sold during the first week."

Mods are a draw for some people, but most people are not going to shell out all of that money for a gaming rig so they can use/create mods.
"PC or Console" is one of those topics that will never get resolved. I just think people should play games on whatever platform they want, and not ridicule or harass someone because they choose a different platform.
For me, I work in IT, I am building/setting up/maintaining/ and upgrading PC's all day, everyday at work. When I play games I choose the easier more reliable method. All I need to do is see the words Xbox 360 on the box and I know it will play on my Xbox (some games w/more bugs than others.....cough....cough....Defiance).
u will ALWAYS pay more money for a gaming computer and you will ALWAYS have to upgrade that computer more often costing you more money. Yes they will provide better graphics, but normally not by a whole lot.
The OP needs to take some classes on Economics and understand that if it were not for consoles, the gaming industry would be small. Like someone else had said, the sales are in the proof.
OP you need to understand that most people are lazy and dont want to spend a lot of money. Hence why consoles are just an easier choice. Would a parent spend 1000 bucks on a gaming rig for their kids and have to upgrade it every couple years or a console for 300-400 bucks (xbox is now 99 bucks i believe) and not have to do anything with it?
Now I may get some flak for saying this, but since the graphics on the ps3 and 360 are good and with the new consoles coming out later this year providing graphics that will surpass the graphics of the old consoles by A LOT. Will ppl buy a new computer or buy the new consoles coming out that will be half the price of a $1000 computer? obviously i used to be a PC gamer back in the day but now i play on console because it will ALWAYS be a cheaper way of playing games and still give me graphics that will make me say "wow thats nice"
This thread is a failed attempt at trolling. OP go take some Economic classes and expand your "bubble" that u live in and understand that consoles will ALWAYS be around and will ALWAYS be the more viable option for most people.
