What I am wondering is how the game and the show ARE going to work together. It's early days so hard to tell.
Fanboys on damage control again. Remember when they attacked people who had issues with the beta? They called them kids with no patience, kids who didn't understand what a beta was, kids who were gonna eat their words when the retail release had most if the bugs resolved and a map that was four times as big as that in the beta. As we now know, that was bs.
Then when the retail release came with a laughable amount of content and all the bugs from the beta, they said the patch that comes with the series premiere would bring content and fixes that will make this a totally new game. As we now know, that also was bs.
Now two episodes in, the game is still a buggy mess with absolutely no meaningful series tie-in content in sight. Now they say people assumed and worthless pursuits should be enough. If the fanboys only understood how their delusional behavior hurts this game much more than it helps....
They have stated multiple times that our interactions with the show will not begin until the second season.Originally Posted by demonichatered

Isn't it "Our" not "Are"
Promised, implied or assumed doesn't really matter. The Episode 1 mission was what you would want and expect from a game promising a strong weekly tie in with the series. Whether it was a bait and switch, or content was planned, but delayed, doesn't really matter either. Week two was a complete failure to live up to the potential of the game as it relates to the show.
Trion, you failed, clearly and utterly.
Moving forward, we'll have to see if they continue to fail, or if they actually get their act together and produce something that comes even close to matching the incredible potential of the opportunity that was provided them when they were given the license for this game.
Looking at the massive amount of voice over, scripted story content in recent games like Guild Wars 2, Star Wars the Old Republic and The Secret World, it really is NOT expecting too much of Trion to have provided weekly Story Missions with appropriate cut scenes. Even if they had produced 13 such episodes, it would have represented a tiny fraction of the amount of such content found in the previously mentioned titles.
There really is no excuse for the lack of this content in the game and that they have apparently squandered the unprecedented potential afforded to them with this title is just mind blowing.
I really hope there is appropriate content in the weeks to come and this last week will just be a tiny bump in the road, but I'm not terribly optimistic.
Not to start anything here, just genuinely curious as i'm following this thread. Did Trion actually say there would be "strong weekly tie in with the series"? I assumed that we'd get a little something here and there but judging how it went with the story missions prior to episode 1, we might only see further episode missions when we have major episode plot points....at least that's the best we can hope for, anyway.
