Defiance Episode 2 Ratings down

I'm expecting Syfy to do to Defiance what they did to Tremors the Series if ratings drop too low. The biggest problem so far IMHO opinion is too much powshtako drama and not enough Hellbugs and Votan blasters. Next episode should fix this.

Anyone else legitimately surprised that (other than the ex-Mayor who is obviously going to turn out to be working with Votans at some level eventually) of the Hatfields and McCoys it's the aliens that are total bastards? Humans are okay for once!

I'm fully expecting full on human ******baggery coming from the E-Rep side of things.

Episode 2 was down .33 million viewers to 2.40 from last week's episode's 2.73
Ratings in the 18-49 demo was down to 0.8 from last week's 1.0.

That's to be expected from the 2nd episode of like... any new show. Though it's still higher than most of the stuff on SyFy.

The only thing i hate about watching Defiance is the fact their is too many adverts inbetween.

I really liked the pilot, but this episode wasn't all that great. Granted, it was still better than 80% of the other crap that is on TV, but nowhere close to as good as the pilot was.

Too early to call anything. I say expecting viewership to go up after a premiere is a little silly to hope for, though.

Especially when the show was promoted so widely-- even the desperate housewives crowd got some advertising sent its way. I wouldn't expect that bunch to stick around much after the first five minutes.

SYFY is now owned by Comcast and they will cut the throat of any show that doesn't succeed. They are only establishing the characters at this point.

I personally like the show. It's actually interesting to be able to play a game that actually has a certain level of cross over (small though i know).

Unknown. This site doesn't even say their source just says "primary source" in the description. So these could be complete or partial numbers. Usually Nielsen and others compile at the end of the week and take DVR into account.

Are you guys freaking serious?!??! It's the SECOND episode of SEASON 1..... THEY HAVE TO SET THE STORY BEFORE THEY CAN DELVE DEEP INTO THE ACTION.....

Wait? You are asking and expecting today's world of A.D.D. to let something develop? lol Good luck with that.

Sad thing is, its a shame. I think this show is doing a fabulous job at setting up an overall story and a great new series. But people's attention span is nonexistent anymore.
