What Type of Computer/Gaming RIG you Use?

So not to think my stuff does not stink but...

i7 - Quad Core Processor (Core)
16 Gigs DDR3 (Memory)
10 Hard Drives (SATA and USB) (500gigs to 1TB Each)
ATI Radeon Hd 5700 CrossFire (Video)
SB Recon3 Sound Card. (Audio)

And NO i do not work for Nasa.....

And my tower cannot handle any more internal hard drives except for IDE ones ha...
Also i ran out of USB Slots so had to get a new card and also USB Hub just for more USB toys.

No need to go into specifics... I'm able to play just fine with my current set up, but I'm saving up for a "gaming rig".

That was my old system a 920 serve me great but it was time for a upgrade so i sold it off and brought my current rig welll worth.

Trust me you do not need much to play a game very effective. I would suggest not just going to Best Buy or Fry's and or microcenter and "buying a complete box" i would suggest building your own it is very easy. Here is a list of the most simple things you would need to have a pretty decent gaming "rig" so to speak that wont eat your lunch.

1. A Decent tower that has say 8 drive slots (bays)
2. A 850 Watt Power Supply
3. A I5 to I7 motherboard
4. A Processor at least 2.5 ghz quad core.
5. 8 Gigs of Memory is all you really need for any game.
6. A Video Card with at least 2 to 4 gigs of memory on it. (you could use dual crossfire but most games cannot handle it)
7. Just get 2 hard drives that are 500 gigs each that are SATA 1 for your main drive 1 for file storage etc.

8. As for a Monitor i would suggest getting a TV instead that is flat screen (do not get a plasma) i had purchased a 24" flatscreen Poloroid from Target that has DVI and HDMI hookups so its the same. at half the cost as well. I was using dual monitors a while back but i wanted to get a display that combined both my flat screen monitors so opted for a flatscreen tv instead.

Now if you shop correctly you should get everything above for about $800 to $1000 total give or take.

But either way have you noticed any decent changes while playing games since game engines cannot really handle high end boxes. I have played on a very high end computer before and my system and they both seem the same in regards to games. Possibly Crysis and APB Reloaded or Arma3 would be a exception.
