Please fix the voice chat

Well to those that say...

1. Its turned off in beta thats not true because I've seen it work for a few minutes and then go away, I've had friends here me but I cant here them etc. So it is not turned off it just doesn't work well a all.

2. Its beta excuse - I've played countless number of betas and most issues like this do not end up getting fixed on a whim, never believe if they say oh it'll be fine on release cause most times it isn't.

3. Also when the mics did work the audio quality was terrible.

4. To whoever linked the post of them saying Chat will be fixed isn't very specific , that could simply mean Text Chat and not Voice Chat who knows?

To think its a no brainer that oh it'll be fine on release is being naive, theres no excuse for them not working at this point, the first night I played solo and enjoyed it and was looking forward to playing with some friends only to have it ruined with broken mic system.

Dont see any reason picking this game up unless its fixed at launch.

sooo is that to say Voice chat will not be working as intended in Beta? also been having issues just trying to invite or inspect nearby players to group. hope that is being looked into. I understand this is Beta and not the Disc copy which has alot more code put into it but some of these stability issues should be covered in the Beta shouldnt they?

Voice chat is not turned off for the beta. I know because Ive been able to voice chat with a friend. The voice chat is just bugged right now.

I do understand your frustrations, especially as a PS3 player, but I can tell you right now, the beta build you are playing is not a final build. I am currently in the alpha and can grantee that the build we have on PS3 is super buggy. Hopefully they patch the beta, I doubt it, but the final version of this game will look good, and voice chat will work.

I guess I'll have to wait until after launch to buy it then. No offense... but I've heard devs say that about PS3 voice chat before.. sometimes they get it working, and sometimes they don't (see Borderlands 1 for reference... they never got voice chat working though they apparently fixed it for Borderlands 2.)

Nothing wrong with that idea... Trion is a good company that does well with its support and fixes so I am not too worried and will be picking it up on release day. Hopefully I will see ya around when you decide its good to go.

I don't have a established community in Defiance yet but I am also really hoping that a good voice chat system is put into place. Coming from WoW I know I could not have been able to raid and enjoy the game without Vent & I want to have that kind of precise communication whist raiding in Defiance.

Other than that much of the beta is going very well for me.

its not turned offg cause sometimes it works for 30 seconds it doesn't work don't make excuses for the devlopers
