If you think Jackleg Joe was hard, wait until you fight the final boss

Kill the elites whenever they spawn. When the flamers come you should have an empty room. Shoot their backpack and let them get to Joe while on fire. Fire on him until his shields get back up.

Rinse and repeat and have a good AR equipped.

I don't even know what makes it that hard I didn't have any problem killing him.

    Hello,

I did the fight with the Decoy power, a BMG and a gun.

The Decoy aggros the enemies, so you have some time to kill some of them.
The BMG helps you to recover more quickly.

You can respawn as often as you want (or money runs out).
Hide behind the obstacles and keep recharging your shields when you are wounded ("aiming" with the BMG is its healing mode).
Rosa kills some of the enemies, too.

When you are at the final part the smelter has to get hit from behind to ignite its fuel pack, then it runs below the boss, blows up, and disables the boss's shield. Just send the decoy past the smelter, shoot at the smelter's fuel tanks as it turns to follow the decoy, then aim for the boss.

If the next smelter shows up and your decoy is down - shoot the smelter into the face and wait until decoy is up.

    Regards,
    Ada

I have to agree with Alechief. Ignore the trolls and try some of the strategies the helpful posters have suggested. There were quite a few.

Patience makes it boring but easy. First, forget a great shield get one that regenerates quickly 2.55 or better and hopefully you can obtain one with bonus fire protection. Phase two ignor all the guys your AE occupies them. Hide behind the tanks and wait for smelters. Wait until the stand in front of you and spray fire, then melee, more than half the time the catch themselves on fire, swear, try it. Don't bother clocking until Joe jumps down, do it quickly and run.

Btw, theres a huge thread on this, Joe is not easy unless you make it really boring and tacticle. HIDE, WAIT. The reward is getting to move on.

Here's a great tip to make the first stage simple: After running up the ramp and the cut scene plays, immediately get to the far left next to that big crate and toss a grenade at the door the enemies spawn at. Then, if equipped, trigger overcharge with an LMG, I prefer SAW. You will kill half of the total enemies in about 15 seconds. After that, it's simply a matter of hiding in the far corner and pegging the backs of the smelters.

Very tough fight until you catch on to what it really going on. I'm looking forward to Nim...hope I don't regret saying that.

Actually it's the best choice for all PVE not only bosses. But there aren't any shields that recharge in 2,5 or less seconds, the minimum delay is 2,85
