I read the reviews before I bought Defiance. The scores weren't great, but when I got into the nitty gritty of what the reviews actually said, I had a good idea of what the game had going for it and what it didn't, and whether it was the kind of game I'd like.

From what I read, it seemed like it was worth taking a chance on, and I'm glad I did.
You have to remember that a review is just one persons opinion. I usually just do some research on a game before I decide to buy it or not, if it grabs my attention then I'll give it a go.

I love this game. I've been waiting for years for a game like this to come on xbox. I love the open world, being able to mod my weapons, character outfits, having different types of vehicles. Not to mention all the different types of weaponry and Ego powers. This game has so much to it more than other games where you may be able to pick a load out but not what your character looks like. This game you can have a different outfit with your load out that's pretty badass in my opinion.

Not to mention it has Pve and Pvp both in open world and in instances. then there is the Arkfalls which in themselves are fun.

Granted yes there are some bugs but eventually they will be fixed. And eventually there will be more missions in the meantime I love to walking around exploring and killing everything. Often times ill just camp on a bridge leaving the starting area and snipe out all the mutants helping other players on there missions and whatnot. to be able to help other people without having to join a que or anything to jsut drive by and hop in and kill. That's amazing i wish more games were like that.
    Game Platform- Xbox 360

    Character Name- Purely Grimm

I love this game and I'm looking forward to seeing how it evolves over time. I'm amazed at how well it runs on the old xbox to be honest. I also get a kick out of seeing the other role players out there. I was about to hit an enemy outpost when I noticed this other player crouched in some bushes and scoping the place out. I took a moment to check out his/her awesome armour through my own scope before all hell broke lose. It's also cool when I see players just walking down a road exploring instead of running everywhere. The possibilities in this game are endless.

The game can be fun, the game can be boring, the game can be frustrating, just depends upon how much time is put in to it and how much it is played in one session. Play for to long at one time and it gets dull going from mission to mission all the time. Play for too short a time and it can be frustrating and how some of missions work and when you die the enemy gets full health back. Really just depends upon how much a person plays and what sort of experience they were prematurely expecting from the game.

It is mmoish, but not a traditional mmo, and for the time being I am happy with that. Would not want this game to become a WoW or EQ clone, where you always had to have 5-10 man parties to ever do a mission or a boss. that wuold make it not fun for the individual player that does not want to be forced to join a clan or group just do play the game.

I think the game is great, but more people trying to help each other would make it better?
    thanks

Well I pre-ordered the game a few months back and through work I haven't even played the game properly yet and I'm still in the tutorial stage. I've watched the TV series and thought the first 15 to 20 mins was slow going and then got into it. So I like the series alot, can't wait for next tuesdays episode. Just need to start playing now I've 2 weeks off work thank god lol
