Current mod remove/retrieve salvage costs are... Stupid!

I currently have an LMG, which I want to retrieve my mods from. In doing so I found something really illogical with the costs of retrieving the mods, verse removing the mods and retrieving the weapon.

To remove the mods, and keep the weapon, it is just over 800 salvage.

To retrieve and keep the mods, and discarding the weapon, costs me 20400 salvage.

When you think about it, the process to remove weapon mods from a given weapon, would be exactly the same. So why does the out come of this process (i.e. The stuff you keep afterwards), effect the salvage costs to do it?

The current costs reflect the time, effort and tools required for each option. They would look like this:

Removing the mods, keep the weapon:

Retrieving and keeping the mods, discarding the weapon:

I think the cost should be the average of the current costs, which would be 10600 for either option.

I have over 300k salvage so it doesn't worry me. Also this game is imploding on itself so you might not have to worry much longer either.

Well that makes me worry even more!!! I mean, what am I going to play now if Defiance implodes?

I guess I still have my FireFall account, and there is WildStar coming out soon. Meh.

For that matter, why should it cost anything to remove mods, regardless of whether you keep the mods or the gun? What exactly does the process entail that requires you to consume copious quantities of salvaged alien technology? Have I been spending all this time collecting disposable alien Torx wrenches?

For that matter, how clumsy am I that I end up destroying the mod or the weapon whenever I try to unscrew a scope? After the first time I accidentally destroy an assault rifle removing the magazine, I think I might seek out a professional who can, I don't know, operate a screwdriver.

Now we know what really destroyed San Francisco. Someone asked a plumber to replace a faucet, and when he asked them if they wanted to keep the old one, they said "Yes."

Whats really dumb is the fact that putting a scope on a gun in real life dose not glue the scope on forever.

If they really probably should have done was have a shop, or something where you take your weapon and have a guy remove the mod, from the gun, remove the gun from the mod, or give you both. Makes more logical sense why you cant keep both and why the costs are so high, because you are selling the item you are not keeping for payment to the shop keeper for his work.
Telling someone how they can improve is 200% more helpful then telling someone that they need to improve.

It makes sense from a gameplay point of view and how common tier III mods are (not talking about those with synergy here, they're a myth boys and girls!) compared to how rare a perfectly rolled weapon with fitting level up bonus is.

Removing each mod on it's own however is an option that the game really lacks.

I wish I had nothing better to do than troll the forums of a game I was obviously not satisfied with. I remember my first MMO launch too.

Well congrats on this being your first. I have been playing MMOs since the dawning of them. I have seen what makes them fail and just don't want this game to go that way. Ouch that wasn't what a troll like you were expecting was it.

Follow me around from thread to thread trolling doesn't help this game. Just makes you look bad.
