I don't think they'll do that, since it's not subscription based, and even in a 24 hour trial you could whip through the main story mode if you. If you have friends on the fence, greenmangaming.com often has 25-30% off coupons, they could pick it up for ~40$Originally Posted by Pale

I’ll let him know but I think the big thing he wants to test out is the latency he will get playing on the US servers from Italy, since he’s going to want to play with all of us from the TSW Cabal that are playing Defiance on the side lol.
So if anyone knows if the connection from Italy to the US Defiance servers is playable that would help me get him off the fence :P
Give it a couple more weeks. The game will be 20 bucks and if they still don't buy it, then they are cheap.

They have seen the game play and since a few of us from TSW are playing, he knows what to expect, and would like to try it but all of us live in the US and he lives in Italy, so he is going to want to play on the US servers which I think is the main concern that the latency isn’t so bad that it will makes the game unplayable.
I can't say for sure about from Italy, but I play on both US and EU servers (PC) from Denmark. I'm VERY close to Amsterdam and a long way from Dallas but in PvE I don't notice the extra lag to the US. I haven't tried PvP on the US servers.

24hour trial keys would be cool but I haven't seen anything suggesting they will do that yet. You could always invite them over to your house and let them mess around on your account, ya know make a new character and try it out for a bit? If distance between you and your friends is an issue you could always just let em log on your account but I dont suggest that unless you absolutely trust em and know them very well and even then its still iffy but your choice
