Beta invites make no sense

TBH looked like OP was looking for a demo and wasn't actually wanting to help by testing. When he didn't get the replies he hoped for he started throwing toys out the pram ie comment on bad reviews(not seen them myself yet but hey)

Hi. I registered a few months ago in hope of trying this game out to see if i would buy it. I got invited to the PC stress test and the advance beta 2 PC. I had no use for these at all as i am on ps3. I am still to receive an invite for beta 3 PS3.
I assume there would of been a few questions in my signup asking about platforms, so i am confused as to why i got invited to 2 things i couldnt use, but not invited to the one thing i can use (and have been waiting for like an excited little child).

Can anyone shed any light on this? Have you been treated similarly? Do any mods have any advice for me?

Playstation plus members can download the defiance beta for free in the Playstation Store. So there is always that option available. It shows up as Game Trial and when it installs you link the console to your Trion Worlds account.

Nah pretty sure the OP was under the impression that the beta was open to everybody, not just those who have preordered it.

If this is the case, then he is slightly wrong. Beta is not open to everyone, just those that preorder, and those who are lucky. And I get a prompt like that when I preorder things too, but they still let me cancel my orders without any charges or additional fees.

You're probably right mate. But other people who are just reading these forums to see what this game/community are all about and see sarcastic replies would probably think twice about wanting to become a part of this community.

Questions that seem stupid to one person might be completely valid from another's point of view.

Also, how do you know that the OP is from the USA? Over here in the UK a lot of retailers won't even give you a preorder beta code/invitation etc. until you confirm you are going to buy it. Take my preorder for example, as soon as I clicked on the 'activate code' section a prompt comes up with by activating this code you are commiting to buying this product.

Here in Denmark, we put down a small deposit to pre-order (~ 10 USD). Then when you do buy the game, that deposit is deducted from the purchase price. If, after testing, you decide to NOT purchase (no game, no matter how good, is right for everyone) the deposit is not refunded. It doesn't cost us very much to preview the game.
