Calling submissions for Fan Find of the Week

Hey everyone, Shwartz here from the clan Freemasons. Something I believe would be a nice "fan find of the week" would be our new community events that our clan will be hosting.

We are just starting this up, but we will be hosting weekly/bi weekly events for all Defiance players on the 360 in the NA servers. Our events will include contests (PVP, racing, co op maps, and ark falls) where you can win prizes such as in game weapons/currency as well as Microsoft points and arcade games. We will also mix in community help and farming events where members of our clan will help anybody who wants to participate get some of the various pursuits in the game, such as data recorder run throughs, co op maps, and more!

The purpose of these events is to promote the MMO and social aspects of the game while also having fun working on the pursuits and winning prizes! All players, regardless of skill, ego, or clan affiliation are encouraged to join in. Soon we will have an official events page on our clan site, but for now all details can be found in the forum in the "Xbox 360 general discussion".

We hope to see all of you fellow ark hunters at these events! We will be having a huge tournament next month, although the specific details are currently under wraps until the time for the event draws near.

This event is something that the defiance community could really use to reinforce the M.M.O aspect of the game. To be able to have friendly competition among fellow arkhunters for great prizes is something to be enjoyed for everyone regardless of ego rating or clan affiliation. Being able to bring players from across all clans and even freelancers to the competition will help players that regard themselves as awesome players to have their mettle tested from fellow arkhunters all across the game. This should be a competition for the history books. I hope to win myself.

This is really awesome. Not only are they a great clan, but they are also willing to help everyone in the whole community. That is really cool and innovative. Talk about a bunch of guys and gals who are dedicated to each and every member of the Defiance game have a good experience. That's really cool how they're reaching out and supporting the community. This is great. I think it really exemplifies "community" at its best. In full disclosure, I am a member of the clan and this is an extension of things we already do in it. I think it's great to push this out to the whole Defiance community.

People are constantly forming groups, adding friends, getting together for Shadow Wars and other PvP, coops, helping others finish pursuits and contracts, have suggestions for finishing missions, help farm and grind (done together it's a lot more fun), and get together for bigger events/contests.

This sounds like a pretty solid idea to me. Not only does it show a growing sense of community within Defiance, but alleviates some of the stress from Trion to add smaller content to keep the player base satiated.
