So what would you like to see to make this game huge as wow or is it more content that you would like to see?

As the MMO part of this game is supposed to be , there needs to be content that players can do that progresses their character, other then daily and repeatable content that only goes so far.
Weekly content could have easily been designed already to have been introduced into the game on a weekly basis. Problem was all the bugs, exploits and breakages. All that pushes content back so fixes can be done so that the new content will hopefully work when added.

Do remember we are expecting 6 more races to be added by years end, and I would expect content accordingly for them.

Ah ok I missunderstood haha. Yea more content is needed but I was also under he imprssion that due to bugs in the patches they pushed back content we would had gotten on day 1 of the first episode a dlc and would hopefully be on schedule that it was enough to keep us occupied for a few weeks till the nexxt dlc. However I might be complaining if the dlc is 1 race and 2 missions and 5 sside missions. . . That would be upsetting what 2 hour of gaming lol. After the dlc and the regularity of them coming out will help calm everyone down I suppose. Let's. Hope its packed full of stuff

I've been playing since release, and I was an alpha tester before that, so I've been with the game for a while and through a few playthrough, but see, when I bought I the game, I always had it in my mind that the idea behind the game was to progress along side the series. So I always expected it to be content limited and 'not complete' .. so in fact, I set myself up for exactly what we got, which may well be why I am happy with the game.

I reserve my opinion about the size of the game until we see more of what the DLC contains and what the season pass adds up to. I do know they have already mentioned or at least eluded to in one of the across the badlands that more may be added to the map in time, which is supported by the fact that a large portion of the visible map is blocked off to us right now, and expanded missions similar to the first episodic one have at least been promised so lets see if they deliver in a timely fashion.

Personally my expectations will be met if they can at least deliver something more than a pursuit on a monthly basis, which pursuits being added each episode as well. Two weeks down, two weeks to go before I start being put out on really any level.

where i can understand the thought of "bringing content out same time as the series" Im confused as to why and did they think that was actually going to work?
I mean a show thats on once a week for 40 odd minute isnt going to keep up with a game thats on almost all the time everyday, the games going to suck if it has to wait all the time for a season to end.
I agree that pursuits time trials and leveling guns isnt supposed to be content there supposed to be just fillers and while pvp can be fun after awhile 2 maps with everyone with cloak and a shotgun gets dull.
Shadow wars is fun but sometime it seems theres only 50 people on the server since it can take 30mins to an hour to start one up.
All they needed to do was put some more game missions in and not make them easy maybe some you had to find a squad but im still the type of person that thinks they fck'd up for not making any sort of difference in levels so blarrrrr.

The problem I'm having is I feel the game was falsely advertised. I love the game as it is but as we all are noticing once we get to end of the story and have played on for a while we are all suffering the boredom of the End Game. In a usual MMO we would still be grinding gear and still have plenty to do despite being at the End but for Defiance being "huge" we don't have any of that. I think someone really dropped the ball.

Oh so your EGO 5000 with all pursuits complete? Im guessing you also have perfect legendarys fully synergized with level 3 mods? Oh wait that's right, you don't, you are probably no where near that, like most people who complain about a lack of things to do even though they have not done everything. You people sure are funny. Just because you don't feel like doing it, doesn't mean it isn't there.

Defiance lacks a LOT of mechanics to classify it as an MMO...Lets see...a lot of people play, together, online....well that's all 3. I think what your looking for is a MMORPG, which defiance is not. If you want to waste your time sitting around a bar ordering drinks while the GUY playing a female elf dances on the table in her underwear, go play WoW. If you want a guarantee on getting the best equipment in the game, go play WoW, your character will eventually receive priority from the clan to get geared up. Youll be swinging your 10 million damage fiery greatsword in no time

If you want to play a 3rd person shooter with rpg elements that is MMO...Here you go. If you don't, guess what, you can leave, please do so. Why does everyone feel they need to make a big speech about how much they dislike the game, just leave already, you wont be missed.

That's funny, because I hear on the forums of MMOs that have gear grind end games is how boring and "tired" it is, or that there is a complete lack of proper End Game so the complainer is cancelling their sub until the game is actually "finished". Just goes to show that you cannot satisfy the gaming community because the community itself has no clue what it wants (and half the time doesn't even know what it is talking about). Strange thing is, in all those threads and complaints not one can ever actually coherently state what the End Game in an MMO "should be."

There's no doubt the game world right now is pretty small. It's obvious they will be releasing portions of new places via their planned DLC. I just hope we're not restricted to the current game world for the entire first season.

What did the in-hour QA think of the game?

Every game gets in house testers who sit with the game for countless hours, playing it, finding bugs. Which usually means all the stuff you see broken in the game is already known about for weeks prior. The gameplay complaints are known months prior.

So, what were their impressions of the game? What did they recommend? And did anybody listen?
We in alpha knew of the issues and voiced concerns for months. It went unheeded, obviously. Oveur(Richardsson) made like only 4 or so posts discussing things for example in the alpha forums during one of those months only. Community manager presence was decent but actual developers didnt have much time they were able to seemingly(or they maybe were prevented from it) speak to things. All in all it was a disheartening situation but where some of us who still were buying into the "hope/faith" factor of things were thinking that things would change for the better.

Spin, misdirection, patronization, lipservice, etc are the tools of the craft for the PR team for this game. Once you learn to ignore what they fluff about the game and see it for what it really is, you realize that though they didnt actually lie perse(though Im sure some alphas might cite a few that I cant think of), you do see that they are rather clever at delivering something that doesnt necessarily come out as false wholly.

Its like they can say the world is huge. But that can be subjective. Huge compared to what? How? etc.

Its like going to a used car salesman offering a deal that if you buy a car you get a free set of tires. You see that and you infer it means "4 new tires". After you buy the car they throw 4 used, bald tires with no inner tube and meant for a different type of car.

Did they deliver on what they said? 100%
Was it what you expected? Nope.

Defiance Trion(as Im currently differentiating them from Rift Trion for a reason) has mastered this vagueness artfully.

It is up to the Defiance community to become wise and skeptical of it, otherwise.

Have some patience, I am sure DLC is right around the corner, if not play something else for a while.
