    Semi Auto or Bolt Action?

I am new to the game, and greatly enjoy sniping. But I can't seem to decide between semi auto or bolt action. By the time I reload a bolt action, I could have popped off 2-3 shots from the semi auto, dealing that same, or a little more than one shot from the bolt action. Whereas I'm hearing of heavy crits from the bolt action.

I've been using a bolt action and the reload isn't so bad so if you can get consistent head shots you'll be okay. I also use a 2shot bolt action rifle. That thing is nuts. In most games I usually use a semi-auto but here bolt action all day long.

I've noticed that some of the Goals require use of a pistol. Should I STICK to a pistol as my secondary? Or is it all the wiser to use an SMG as a secondary for those who come into close distances/use for arkfalls.

I'd only use pistols to level 10 for the pursuit, otherwise I'd use something better.

Bolt's are much better than Semi's, but you need Semi's to 10 for the pursuit.

It depends on whether you are going for the pursuits to be honest...I prefer the semi-auto but to complete the sniper pursuit you have to kill 1000 enemies but it has to be with bolt action and you have to reach level 20 in semi-auto...So, for the time being, I gotta use both. When I'm done, I'll almost certainly go back to using semi-auto permanently though.

Hope this helps & happy sniping!!!

I'm still getting used to getting headshots with the bolt action, but for some reason I get the feeling that with constantly moving targets in Shadow Wars, semi auto may be better. And I'm sure I'll be told bolt action or semi auto upon other peoples preference, but if anyone could actually give examples in how each would be ideal in particular situations?

Hit detection is slightly off here, so aim for the neck and you'll get critical head shot damage.

It depends on how much effort the user wants to put into consistent headshots. Less (Semi-Auto) or more (Bolt).

I am enjoying a nice semi auto sniper. I like the ability to fire off quick shots while still getting a nice crit mulitplier.

Honestly I like Bolt. The semi feels more like a assalt rifle with a longer range .... the semi is good for kill and run. But bolt if you are good enough with the right set up. Deadly as hell
