Not much longer now!
I'm interested in learning more about this "Ultimate Edition" and why it costs 150 dollars. I'd buy it though if it was worth it.

Could be, but they have standard, collectors and ultimate. It's safe to say they probably are tiered in this order and rough price. It seems very likely those prices are correct. I'm not complaining, i'd certainly get ultimate if it was worth it.
Standard - 50-60 dollars
Collectors - 100 dollars
Ultimate ? Could be 150 dollars.
Maybe if you get a certain edition you get free access to certain DLC updates in the future?
Oh No... how are they gonna Reason the existence of a "collectors" and "Super-ultra-collectors edition" ? Established series like Halo can do this,or warhammer 40k can do this. However Defiance is a brand NEW I.P. Players wont have any attachment to any characters or story. There's always gonna be "that guy" that will pay anything tho.
Normal: game only
Collectors: game and other in game items that may or may not be useful.
Super ultra: game and other in game items that may or may not be useful along with a bunch of collectors stuff that have no in game function and only tell people you spent too much money for a game.
Pre Order for exclusive in game item and beta access ... well guess im going to gamestop soon =P ... now im curious what gonna be the difference between all 3 version . i think normal is normal . collector gonna be with premium dlc or something like that and ultimate gonna be with real drawn map and maybe figurine . so if it like that il go with collector
that is neat, but I gotta know ( The Final say) on what their payment plan is gonna be before i'm ordering stuff just to get into beta or ingame items.
If the ultimate edition was somehow a good deal if you planned to be a long time player, for instance it covers the fees of all future premium content, then I can see it being worth it. If you quit early, you lose out. Stay with the game for a long time and over time the initial investment into ultimate would work out cheaper. This only works if they stick with their idea of releasing premium content that you pay for every few months. They said that is what they might do in one of the videos, as well as free content.
