I fondly remember the trinity when it was a quintet - healing, tank, dps, slower and puller :P
Your Challenger won't drive? You're probably in the passenger seat.
Can't sell/delete an item? Check all of your loadouts, it's likely still equipped.
Auction house? Why? It'll just render bits purchased lock boxes pointless, and weapons are mostly equal anyway.
Gear/enemy progression? No thanks, it'll only render 90% of the content trivial when you reach the highest zone.

I guess one could consider ego powers as tank, healer, and dps. Blur is a tank, Decoy is a healer, Overcharge is DPS ,as well as, Cloak. But the game really doesn't make it so you have to have all four to accomplish a task.

Half of perks are totally useless and should be reworked to add more diversity regarding "classes".

    Reload grenades --, heal% ++, HP++ (already exist), etc.

We don't need the common classes archetypes. You're free to choose your own class, and build your own stuff. But let's be honest, you currently don't have to CHOOSE your perks. Half people got same perks when you inspect them. In pvp instances it's probably 75% cloak+shotgun (due to poor map design allowing that). All perks should have the same "interest value".

I finally must add some perks are abused (-60% damage took from a vehicle), (+225 HPs), (-50% damage for 3sec) making it almost vital in Shadow War.

Overall perks shouldn't mod more than 25% a value (accumulation of perks, mods, etc took in consideration).

A proper Decoy loadout with well placed decoys already is a tank. Just use it on a grenadier or mini gunner once and smash his face in while he pounds on it for awhile. Healing is easy, pick up and mod a BMG (some perks to support it better would be kinda cool).

An official holy trinity has no place in a game like this.

Cloak's a decent healer as well, for recovery. cloak away from the enemies, or use it to sneak as close as possible to the dead player

at 1st i thought it would be cool to finally get away from the holy trinity BUT noticed that the lack of need for team play (co-ops are easy and everything seems solo game) could be because of getting away from the trinity

The holy trinity love it or hate it, but now think it did and does create the team work feeling.

Now with that said, yes we know Defiance isn't a traditional MMO. Yes we know there isn't a need for the trinity here. Are you glad they designed Defiance leaving it out?
Well since this game doesn't need tanks and healers of course I am happy. Who would put tanks and healers in a game that doesn't need them lol.

But the truth is EVERYONE (I don't care if you reply and tell me you are not one, you are and don't know it) wants the Trinity in a MMO b.c it promotes team play more then any other design. That is why it is the most popular design.

I like the step away from then standard tank, healer, DPS set up. While sometimes, all that is required is to shoot the hell out of enemies, certain raids and instances are far easier and more satisfying when you go in with a diverse group. For example, LMG with OC can lay down the fire, while a cloaked sniper picks off critical enemies. Meanwhile, a Decoy class goes on quick and diverts the enemies' attention while a Blurred shotguner runs through andsweeps a pack of enemies. Defiance is a shooter. We should treat it like one.

Like as if this game requires any sort of team play or even thought in PvE at least. It's about the most mindless shooter this side of quake. Defiance has a leg up on quake though, b/c of the innovative feature known as "Hold to Interact"!

Anyways, guess keep eye out for new mmos that have actual team work involved. This new era of solo based, no progression MMOs is depressing....
