    Volge Invasions!!!

The end of Episode #1 (the pilot) they had an invasion force by the Volge to fight off. Can we see something like that in-game? Maybe not the volge, but mutants, or dark matter.

I played Rift, like a lot of people here, and we had regular invasions from various enemy forces; they'd take over an outpost, denting us access to the NPCs in the camp; and require the players to fight the enemy to take back possession of the outpost.

    I love the idea.
Such invasions would have to work around the story missions as they tend to be temporary as the show advances, but overall it sounds like it would be a great addition if applied correctly.

Of course, this might require Trion to put more importance on towns so as to promote players to take part instead of just fast traveling or moving along to the next town because as is, towns in game have very little importance beyond harboring a cluster of quests and a place to sell somethings and trade in resources for items.

If they could capture that feeling of towns being the safe place that is a sanction to survivors and arkhunters alike, -then- it would be astounding, but again, they just don't give off that vibe yet. Just..they are so empty and the closest thing we have to a town at the moment is an old lawkeeper's ranch.

The Volge will be coming the Bay Area soon........

They're also already announced as the 'toughest enemies' ... although seeing how there's very little that falls into the 'tough' category right now they still might just roll over when you look at them.

I think they need to put more types of Arkfall since the Hellbug one is getting way too repetitive now(specifically speaking on Major Arkfalls). Its all I keep seeing on major arks.

    Looking forward to them!
Foxhop is right that there would have to be a specific area for them to attack. Would be good if we had a main town or something, where players could congregate. Every now and then races invade, and if we don't stop them the town will be unavailable maybe? Then we would be more inclined to defend it.

    I agree.

Yes, I love Defiance but this game does NOT feels like an MMO at all. Almost want to claim false advertising at this point of the game cycle.

What it feels like is a single player game that has random players in it. Much like Fable did years ago on the Xbox.

Defiance needs desperately to have MMO elements implemented fast or players will become bored and leave allowing this game an early death which is very sad.

Volge will come ... sooner or later:
Amanda wore her arm in a sling throughout Episode 2, an injury inflicted by a cold fire weapon during the battle with the Volge. Cold fire-wielding Volge will be one of the most dangerous enemies players face in battling around the ruins of the Bay Area.

This is what I'm afraid of. I know we're still early in the game, but they got to act now while everybody is still here. Even if it's small, minor improvements, as long as the people see SOMETHING they're more likely to stick around and wait for the big stuff.

Yeah i'm already feeling bored in the game. So i keep replaying the story mode which takes me 2 days to go through. Keep hoping something new will pop up. Now im just arkfall hunting now. And buying weapons.
