i get what ypur saying but i wouldnt scoff at boosts ive been out for almost a week and the game is a lot grindier without them less ammo with only tge odd white drop and the really rare green its not as fun at all.

I'd agree with you if there was something at the end of the grind besides the number 5000.

i dont want to go off my topic here but i will say your wrong on that. asside from opening your last perk slot, weapons, grenades, shields all scale.
a 5000 shield will have more capacity than a 100 shield, grenades get stronger, and weapons get stronger and more rare bonuses, like instead of a 1.2x crit, you will see 1.5x etc, yes its a small change but it exists.
