How will this work on console?

Will defiance on console be like regular online shooters where players are only limited to the lobby requirements, or will it still be open world online shooter MMO? I would be greatly disappointed if it's just 24 player matches, I pre-ordered the game for all 3 consoles. Please someone reply with an answer to my question.

Open world MMO, much like Rift open world. First non subscription based open world MMO for the 360 in fact.

I know that, I have to go to my fathers every two weekends and he has a PS3 there and I have an Xbox360 at my place and my computer is in my room for "Competitive" Play

Defiance is a Open-World 3rd person shooter. You will be in a game world with thousands of players. It is only Shadow War and Instances where you will be grouped with 64v64 16v16 or 4v4 etc...

there is an open world to this game containing 1,000's of players, for the pvpers there is instanced 8vs8 and 16vs16 arena based combat. and for those who like more in between there is shadow war which is 64 vs 64, and is based on the open world map.

You may already be aware of this, but just incase you don't. Each platform is on its on set of servers. Your characters are confined to the platform on which they are created.... which is fine if you're just interested in being able to play the game whereever you are.. but you won't be playing the exact same character on each different system.
