ok so I'm a Alpha/Beta player. I've played alot and know the bugs and the game issues we had in Alpha and Beta. Anyway I just played about an hour or 2 and honselty WTF has changed Nothing! I'm really loosing Faith in Trion Infact I really hope they quit this and give it to someone els who knows how to work an mmo. This is absolutely ridiculous! I havn't bothed playing for 1 nealry 2 weeks jsut to let some of the bugs be fixed and I come back and it feels worse WTF trion, what are you doing exactly? why come from Rift, Rift! ffs that was an amazing game, then release this game that clearly isn't even ready for Alpha stages yet. Seriously guy's I want honest oppinons, And no fan boys this is for the real gamers..., trion NEEDS to know that I'm Pissed! (!HEAD BUTT!)

Ya caught em. They're actually just sitting back, counting your money, while the servers overheat. They also hold beer pong tournaments in the office, which takes up a great deal of their time.

Seriously, if you've never worked in game development, accept that you have no idea what you're talking about. Trion is working their ***** off to get all the bugs out, AND add new content. They've also been very upfront with the community as to their progress and schedules. Its despicable that all they get in return is a bunch of ungrateful whining from spoiled players.

ah your forgetting the fact you cant just swap out mods. instead its ok we can give you back your mods to place in another gun but were destroying your gun in the process. or ok we can remove all your mods but where destroying them in the process. why cant it simply be hey i get a new stock mod i want to replace the weaker one in my rifle swap out said mod. nope cant do that.
i own fire arms and can interchange barrels stocks etc. when i do the one im swapping in or out doesn't get destroyed. nor does my rifle if i remove any modifications and change it to something else.
another pet peve not mentioned is the bonus sales of white lvl 1 items at the vendors. wth is a white level 1 mod being sold for the full 500 scrip if you buy it from a mod vendor a fricken bonus sale at other vendors? thast like saying here buy this ford pinto for 30 grand at a ford dealer. you say no then go else where to shop. only to find the same ford pinto being sold for 30 grand and its being advertised as a sale. its still the same priced p.o.s. it was at the last dealer. it's not a sale. if i wanted to buy a level 1 pos i would have at the lvl 1 pos vendor

This is incorrect.
If you level a white gun you do not get a bonus stat.
Also you will notice guns may do the same damage but rarity gives extra critical multipliers and perhaps fire rate, clip, bloom plus one or two bonuses already on the gun like cool downs for grenades or self revives.
If you pay attention there is a difference.
Mod slots already opened is another.
Combine these with the fact that at EGO 2000 your weapon proficiency should be higher and mods easier to afford or remove and re-add, it all adds up to a better piece of hardware.

i just recieved a email from trion to upgrade defiance from the cheap standard edition to the digital delux edition upgrade what moron would do this? knowing full well that none of the bugs have been fixed.. if they had i would already have the armor from the ark persuit list. so dont need that. the rocket launcher is a joke and no different that the one im currently using. and now lets not forget id get another useless in game title of badlands drifter to add to the already numerous useless titles ive already earned in the game. to me this is trion telling me and the rest of the players they think were all idiots who will play in traffic if someone tosses a shiney new nickle in that direction. and they have no plans to fix whats already broken and just want to cash cow it as much as possible before players realize it and they abandon it.

Yep. They have no plans to fix anything. They just sit around watching movies and eating gummi bears all day, while raking in their paychecks... seriously....

It sure looks like it. If they want to make a better impression, they need to deliver. Soon.

And yes, I have worked in game development some time ago and recently in MMO CS. Neither Trion's development nor their communications are sufficient.

It's kool, though, I know how tough it can be when you're presented with an opinion that doesn't mirror yours and all you got left to fall back on is name calling. LOL I'm only speaking the people that aren't completely clueless, but thanks. Up until last week anytime anyone posted anything that was even remotely interpreted as negative, would have 10 fanboi's jumping on them like a pack of rabid dogs. Now this week only 1 or 2 like you even bother to respond. Facts speak for themselves.

People are tired of waiting on Trion to live up to their promises. Here we are close to a month in and they have had one attempt at a real patch and they failed so horribly they have closed ranks and stopped even talking to their customers. Face it this game is dieing and it's only been less than a month and the point of no return is rapidly approaching. The game reviewers have universally panned this game and so the writing is already on the wall.

Well it took them 4+ years and they don't have some basic features of their game completed and implemented, like key fragments, and peoples pursuits and skills resetting.. >__>'' That's a long time to be sloppy.

I have to firmly disagree with the OP. During my time playing the beta I ran into countless bugs and annoyances that made the game unplayable at times. On X360 there were massive memory issues that caused the game to crash under the duress of major arkfalls, spawning into the map would more often than not see you fall through everything to your death, server-client syncing issues would see players being mauled by invisible enemies and still suffer the same fate after respawning, vehicles refused to spawn, weapons would unequip themselves and break the loadout menu.. the list goes on and on.

Now onto release. None of the above happened to me once. Not once. You can hardly say that nothing has been done to make the game better. What exactly were you hoping to see? A totally different game with a different name and the ability to put pink glitterballs on the nose of your player?

I'm not a Trion "fanboy" as the OP pointed out, but I'm still not seeing the intensity of problems I keep reading about. I do run across bugs, but that happened to me in WoW too. Admittedly, not as often, since WoW has had time to develop over the years, but I still ran in to them freqquently after a patch, then off and on from time to time. The bugs I see in Defiance aren't a big deal to me, because I think they will get them fixed over time and they don't hinder the bulk of <my> game play.

I like this game. It's a different breed. So, I'm going to give them some time and see how it comes along over the next few months.
